The property seems newly renovated, and the setting is just beautiful overlooking the water. A full hot breakfast is provided, with seating outside and inside. We just loved the landscaping, with gorgeous flowers everywhere.

The view was wonderful. My grandson enjoyed the swimming pool and also had a wonderful time with his dad paddling in the bay in the canoe. There was plenty to do for children. But the view from the balcony beat it all for me.

Beautiful gem of a property. Lived there fire pits. The rooms are freshly renovated with beautiful views. Great kayaks and SUP! Great coffee at registration. Really lovely experience for a quiet get away.

Absolutely loved it here. Staff/innkeepers were so nice, and we loved the amenities (pool, bonfires, breakfast buffet on site, kayaking in the cove!!) We stayed in Driftwood and the view from our room was GORGEOUS. The room was comfortable and clean.

I traveled with my husband and kids for a few days gateway. We really enjoyed the beautiful views from our balcony, fire pits in the evenings, mini golf and the heated pool. We took advantage of the water sports as well and the kids tried the paddle boards for the first time. The proximity to the harbor town was also convenient. This was our first trip to Maine and definitely not last.

Great location, quiet but close to town. Kayaking was great, we saw lots of wildlife. Other amenities were good - fire pits, other activities. Good breakfast. Balcony views were nice (driftwood building). Convenient parking. Only issue was the beds which need replacing.

Scenic property run “family lodge” style. No upcharge for canoes, kayaks. Excellent value in a beautiful area. We stayed in a dog-friendly unit - clean and spacious. Some areas dated but all safe and clear the property is being updated carefully.

It was an amazing experience, breakfast was spot on, hotel room is clean, the ocean view was perfect. Being in the woods gives it that real get away, relaxed feeling. We went out on the canoe that they have for free and spent all morning seeing wildlife and sightseeing. We will definitely be coming back.

We had a really unique experience in that we booked a room that apparently was sold out. The room we booked was an ocean view with 2 queens and updated amentities. We were placed in a room with 2 double-beds that had challenges with the electricity, the room smelled moldy, the bathroom floor was cracked and the shades didn't work. We were told because we didn't inform them that we were in the correct room on day 1 there was nothing that could be done, which while we do understand that sometimes using a third party booking site such as expedia can lead to these challenges, it shouldn't warrant the way we were treated. It was as if we somehow were trying to get one over on the property. The location is great, the amentities were loved by my children.

Breakfast was amazing, the view from our room was great. When we got there a staff member walked in on us within ten minutes of being in the room which made us a little uncomfortable. As we were leaving the next day a different staff member asked us if we checked out the minute we left out someone went into our room at 9:30am. It felt a bit rushed. The area itself was beautiful and certain staff were wonderful as well.
