Rooms were clean but do need a refurb and are looking a bit tired. The rooms are also not soundproof at all. The gym had a good range of equipment and was clean.

Disliked: Amenities
Reception staff were fine and courteous. However, this is a Mecure Hotel which I align certain certain expections from.
The Gym is in a worse state that anywhere I have used across the world. It is old rusty and basically useless.
Staff all very helpful and kind.food very good..more veggie than other places iv stayed

Room was clean but dated. Housekeeping was good. No USB sockets or any sockets beside the bed was a pain for charging devices. Breakfast good, bar area was nice.
Staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful we needed to change our dates and they accommodated this for us
The hotel was dated and could do with a facelift but was ok clean and tidy
it was very hot when we stayed we were able to get a fan for the room .

Review of hotel Georgian house hotel Bolton
Only a long weekend stay staff were friendly a bit noisy on the first evening in the bar due to football coaches watching the international, breakfast was exceptional the lift was unavailable and had been for sometime. The interior could be improved our room although was clean looked dated and not enough electrical sockets for modern users with electronics. Car park could do with being marked with lines, and the outside garden could do with some .maintenance
We’ve stayed at this hotel before so when coming to help some friends, we thought we’d book back there again given, last time, it was fine for the amount paid. Saturday though will absolutely be the last time. On booking the hotel we could only get a twin room, for one night we were ok with that. We arrived to be told that there were at least 2 Christmas parties taking place, so it would be loud until at least 1am. On our previous visit there had been a wedding so we thought that although we’d have preferred to be told on booking so we’d have the option to go elsewhere, that it would be ok.
We got to the room which looked like it hadn’t been touched for at least 15 years. Looked fairly clean so, again, thought it’s only one night so it'll be fine. Then we went to use the shower, which had a curtain which looked liked somone had been murdered againt it, not great at all but we carried on, then the beds, which were absolutely HORRENDOUS. They were the most uncomfortable mattresses we’ve ever felt.
I enjoyed my stay although the hotel could do with money being spent on furniture and fittings. Bathroom not in a good state and the shower water pressure was abysmal!
However the staff were brilliant!
Lovely hotel with comfy room and great setting. The only downside is that I was looking forward to having a swim, but their pool has been closed indefinitely!
We took an evening away for ourselves before the Christmas craziness.
The room had a lovely view of Winter Hill and the huge bed was very comfortable.
The breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly and professional.
We would definitely stay again.

Great service from staff
Great service from staff and enjoyed dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately the building is in need of some TLC which let it down slightly.
Not for me. Got rid of two flies when i arrived (windows were closed) and had to deal with 4 more before i went to sleep, with a feint buzzing still annoying me as i nodded off.
Shower was practically non functional, coughing up water like it had some kind of lung disease.
Staff were pleasant when present. I made 3 calls to reception for 1 issue. The phone rang out until it cut off twice.
