"In many parts of the world this would be a 5 star hotel. Clean and spacious rooms, fancy restaurants onsite, luxurious lobby, fast Wifi and elevators. Great location, within walking distant to Wangfujing Shopping Street.
I walked to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square twice via Wangfujing Street. Very nice and pleasant walk. Or only $3 USD taxi ride.
The hotel staff is the friendliest I've ever had. The clerks will assist you with just about anything you need or want to do. The housekeeping team is excellent.
There is a bank, 7-Eleven, and a cafe style restaurant directly across the street. The restuarant/cafe has seating and a walkup window and sells super-size Chinese wraps (deliciously filled) along with a bowl of rice porridge for about $1.75 USD. I was able to split the meal into breakfast as lunch.
Just down the street that are many other places to eat. I also like that when they order a taxi for you they tell you approx how much you will be charge and they give you a card with the hotel clerk direct number if you need assistance while out exploring the city.
Don't worry about language as just about everyone in Beijing has language translators on their phone.
A true 4.5 star hotel for fraction of what a U.S. hotel will cost per night. The hotel, staff, and location make this hotel an absolute bargain. "
