"Our stay at Marama Hotel was truly wonderful, and the staff made all the difference. When we arrived, we were quite shaken after a bad experience with our Uber driver. The concierge who welcomed and checked us in was absolutely amazing — calm, kind, and incredibly professional. He immediately put us at ease and completely changed the tone of our arrival. His warmth and care set the standard for the rest of our stay. Every member of the staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely lovely. You really feel looked after here. The food at the hotel restaurant was absolutely excellent — beautifully prepared and delicious, and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The hotel is located high up in the mountains, which makes for stunning surroundings and a peaceful atmosphere. However, if you don’t have a car, getting up to the hotel can be a bit challenging. Taxis do run from the bottom, and the reception was very clear and helpful in advising us to use one, which we appreciated. Overall, our stay was absolutely beautiful. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and already planning our next trip back. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Marama Hotel and look forward to returning soon."

"Room was good size, very clean and comfortable bed. Levent on reception was kind and helpful assisting a late checkin. He had very good English . He supplied a quilt immediately on request. Hotel is about 10 mins walk to port "

"This hotel was beyond filthy. The second I walked into the room, the stench hit me. The bathroom was revolting – mold all over the tiles, a disgusting shower, and a toilet that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. It was so nasty I didn’t even want to touch anything. For the money I spent, I expected at least a clean room, but instead I got this dump. I felt dirtier after staying here than before I checked in. They “changed” our room the next day, but guess what? It was just as filthy. Nothing improved. On top of that, the staff was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Zero customer service, zero care for guests. This was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Stay far, far away from this place. Total waste of money and a disgusting nightmare. 1* hotel!!!!"

"It is a very clean room and the hotel is close to all the activity in town. The single room is priced fairly, but in hindsight I should have booked a double for solo use as the bed is a very small single bed. The hotel is very quirky situated in a nice natural garden which I like. The bathroom in the room however is very small and the shower just a handheld unit - really not practical. "

"Only stayed one night, The road in front of the hotel is shut down due to construction. Not the owners fault. However, when being driven via taxi to location, it would have been helpful to know this before hand. Help with luggage would have been a bonus versus having to drag luggage through dirt and rubble to an unknown street hoping the location is correct. The "Upgraded" room was larger (Suite). The shower faucet was broken but worked when using the handheld. Water leaks onto floor from shower so be careful not to slip on the wet floor. The toilet bidet does not work. Just a trickle. water has a foul odor. Office staff arranged a taxi pickup which was nice. Location was close to town, Average facility."
