「We could hear the guy snoring next to us and was loud. But we were able to sleep. We set an alarm for the breakfast which ended at 9:30am. I got there at 910am, the biscuits were hard as a rock and gravy was dried up. The only option was cereal, which I don’t eat usually. We ended up going out to eat for breakfast. Other than that - it was a good stay, dark room and great shower!」

「Very clean and accommodating to my personal needs. Only gripe is was told I was getting a room. With a king size bed. However it was actually 2 queen beds. Not too terrible. But worth mentioning nonetheless. 」

「For the price and a quick place to stay well travelling home this was a great place. Room was clean. It’s an older place but was clean staff were nice. Bed was comfortable. Room temp was great. Fridge was a bit loud. This is not a 4star hotel but how can you expect that when you’re paying this price. My husband and daughter were pleased with the stay.」

「Truly a historic building with a warm and cozy atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. Indoor pool is large and clean. Outdoor pool was not open yet but looks wonderful. The view of Union City in the valley below was so pretty. We were upgraded from a standard queen room to a king, which was a pleasant surprise. Lobby has a large fireplace and great staircase. We enjoyed playing a couple of games of chess there, accompanied by a drink from the bar. Hotel is older and may lack a few things but...

「Solid golf course (Lakeview) for beginners or people who aren’t great at golf. Fairways are open and easy to stay in. Hotel was solid, friendly staff, easy commute to Cooper’s Rock, WVU, restaurants around. Shower pressure was a bit light but did the job. Highly recommend」

「Front desk staff very helpful. I booked reservations through Expedia with wrong dates. Expedia staff unable to correct dates. I took out extra insurance on 2nd reservation and they told me that it didn’t cover that. Corrected the dates the next day with hotel front desk.」

「My family and I will not be back. The room was dirty when we arrived. There was a soda cap on the floor and a half eaten Slim Jim that my 10 month old daughter picked up. The utensils in the kitchen were dirty, especially the vegetables peeler. We were going to have breakfast in our hotel but chose to eat out as a result. For the price we paid for this hotel, I was really expecting higher quality.」
