Wyndham Extra Holidays Blue Ridge Parkway hotels

"Where do I begin. We arrived and we arrived to someone smoking right outside the front desk entrance, gross. Check in was ok but the front desk guy disappeared for a bit and made us wait. Once we got to our room, that’s when the fun started. One of the beds had stains on the sheets and blanket, had to call housekeeping to change the bedding, they were quick. Then the tv was broken. Called the front desk and the guy had to bring us a new tv. He did set it up quickly. The floor was dirty. There was some paper and wrappers next to the garbage can by the bathroom, dirt and dust bunnies on the side by the window. The bathroom door didn’t lock. The outlet by the beds did not work. Plus one of the bath towels were dirty, had to use our own towels we brought. Honestly wish I could get a refund. Will not return and glad we only had to stay one night. "

"We lived our stay here and will hopefully be returning next year! Kids loved the heated indoor pool we loved the views of the Smokey Mountains from the balcony."

"Perfect for a no frills stay on the strip in Gatlinburg! Our teens loved it as did we! Clean, comfy, close to everything! Great indoor pool(outdoor not open yet). Will stay again!!"

"We chose to stay here with our kids because I stayed there as a kid and wanted my kids to have the same memory of the pool that I did. We loved making that memory with them. And would stay there again but next time we will be more careful of how we book. We didn’t know we would be staying in the other side of the road for our trip and would have to drive to the pool since it was icey cold. Other than that part it was a 10/10 "

"CONS: Pool facility closed since January, It’s March!!! Big UGH since hot tub was a priority in booking this hotel. Hard to navigate to Lobby for check -in. 4th floor hallway has very musty smell, as well as the heating/cooling fan, when on. Bathroom floor is extremely slippery, even when dry. Elevator is very slow, we used the stairs the whole time except for check in/check out. One stairway was flooded at the lowest level. Navigating the stairs to lobby and above is a Jedi mind game….or like “Labyrinth”. It’s like they change every time you use them. PROS: Nice balcony overlooking the the stream and mountains. Right in the thick of downtown. Decent breakfast. All staff that we encountered were very nice. "
