Don’t stay here.
The floor was out of level 8” on 12’. The room had no central heat - just a fireplace that was on or off. It was not soundproofed and you could hear every time a door opened or closed. And the sheets and mattress cover would come off every time we rolled over.

The Bob Timberlake Inn was awesome. My husband and I went there for our anniversary and stayed in room 8. it was very quiet, newly renovated, cozy and the staff was super friendly and very helpful. We really enjoyed the included breakfast in our room each morning . Also the heated indoor pool was very relaxing and enjoyable. We would definitely stay there again. They also did a great job with the Christmas decorations.

There are some very nice positives but too many negatives to rate this resort higher. Pool, spa, sauna and yoga for my wife were all extremely positive. We went to their restaurant for our anniversary dinner when we got there and my wife wanted a chicken dish then a pasta dish, then lamb chops, then a strip steak , then a Reuben sandwich.. so she settled on a hamburger because the were out of all the above. A very nice bottle of wine and a burger. (Really). We paid big bucks to stay in the Inn at Bob Timberlake’s and we’re put in a handicap room near the entrance and the entrance door slammed every time someone came through it at all hours of the day and night. We met people in the 8 other Inn private rooms and they were beautiful. Bad luck with NO explanation or discount or “I am sorry”. The facility looked beautiful. Thought of bringing our extended family there but they need to get their act together. All the people wanted to please but they weren’t empowered to make things “right” even though they all said “what can we do to make things right”… Two couples we met at the Inn left early due to multiple issues that I mentioned and others not mentioned… like a bad cook at breakfast, a gas leak 12:30am that woke us up and we had to evacuate until 1:30am… no sleep that night and no kitchen/breakfast the next day due to the leak being there. We were finally glad the next day that we were leaving for Savannah then St. Augustine then home…

It was very walkable to the town of Blowing Rock. The property itself was so nice and peaceful. Enjoyed relaxing around the firepit.

Your customer service, in all areas, was exceptional!! The room was wonderful, especially the fireplace and leather recliner and the mattress gave you a wonderful, restful night’s sleep. Plus the Bath robes were a very nice touch. Ate breakfast and dinner at the resort and all of our meals were exceptional!! But in the end, it’s still the staff, your people who made the biggest impressions on us - made us feel welcome everywhere we went on the property. Exceptional job, Chetola. We’ll be back!

Warm and cozy
Great accommodations… we stayed in the inn and it was warm and cozy. The room was large and the fireplace was awesome. The food at Timberlakes was very good. The dining staff were all excellent, we had 2 separate meals at the restaurant. Looking forward to spending time there next December …. Hopefully stay longer next time. 😊

The Inn was wonderful in many ways. We had a pleasant stay. But there were a few things that could be improved. We clearly heard the band from the restaurant -- in our room! They finished at 9pm both nights but had we wanted to retire early.... The warm chocolate chip cookies were fabulous! As was having the restaurant right downstairs. But one morning the door was locked, so we had to go outside to get to the restaurant. It was cold; mildly inconvenient. Also, the water pressure in the shower was weak. That said, the staff was wonderful. The resort was enchanting as was the town of Blowing Rock and the environs.

Highly recommend Bob Timberlake Inn
We had a wonderful stay at Timberlake Innat Chetola. We loved the in room breakfast service and having a pantry to get snacks, water and coffee! The staff was very helpful there was only one staff member handling the kayaks who didn't say hello and was on her phone and didn't even look up once. All of the other staff were very nice and professional. It is a bit outdated and in need of some updating. Some areas by the elevator smell a little musty. Our room was clean and would definitely be back again!
