I got a shocked when we arrived on location. The apartment looks very old..i cant turned on the staircase light. It's next to a cemetery, which i dont really like. Fortunately the room is relatively clean. There is a supermarket nearby.

Hi earlier I would like to point out to you that the plot is about 1500square meters for the house you need to learn to calculate correctly,the water is straight from the ground natural and green energy, is considered the best in the world just to let the water run for a while before showering. It is my experience that those who fear cemeteries have something to hide.

The view was pretty disappointing and scary we got drawn away with uploaded mountain/lake view but there is a cemetery 30m from the stay. Addition to that water had sulfur smell, it’s not drinkable. Room is spacious and clean with big bathroom. But looking at the price point comparison made us feel it is very very expensive. My recommendation - Think twice and explore more options. Side note: This was our expensive yet worst stay in our whole Iceland trip.

The apartment was adequate and it did have a full kitchen. So for the price, it was a good deal.

Wonderful, spacious property in cute, ocean-side town. Great breakfast/dinner available from owner of property (breakfast included). Great for northern lights viewing and catching the sunset.

Not what we expected
This apartment building is a two story walkup, with stairs outside to get to front door. Don't bring heavy suitcases! Door has keypad and apartment key with receipt is hanging on hook to the left of the door. Anyone arriving before you can take any key to browse the building. Apartment 4, ours, seemed remodeled recently to have a room with bed, and side board with tv, and a disportionately-sized bathroom. Not really an apartment. Below side board is a microwave and small refrigerator, neither of which we used There is an assumption that you will somehow figure out how to cook in that room although only two small cups, spoons, and two plates were available. Sign on wall had price list punishment for not cleaning up, although only the bathroom sink was available for doing dishes, and an almost empty soap bottle was in the cabinet with hair dryer and a brush. The bathroom is huge, with clawfoot bathtub, tiny sink, and a side chair. Generally, the place felt rundown. It is in a small town neighborhood without much to compel walking around. We never saw anyone managing the place. It is possible this kind of accommodation is typical outside the couple of Iceland cities, but to give it a high rating seems unfair to the people browsing to find a place. Overall, we would say 3.0.

This place was disgusting. It smelled like sulfur the water was horrible smelling. You could eat or drink in the apartment due to smell. I would NOT recommend this place to a dog. It also has windows facing a graveyard.

The reason for this particular smell is because the hot water in Iceland sometimes smells of Sulphur because of the geothermal origins of the warm water. The warm water comes from the ground and is supplied by geothermal power plants, it is ideal for bathing, but not drinking. Due to this, Icelanders have hot and cold water from two different sources. The drinking water runs straight from our natural springs and is as we say, the best in the world. It is one of the purest and most refreshing water on the planet.

Spacious apartment with very functional kitchen. It was a little hard to find since there wasn’t a picture on the website and the name of the place was in very small lettering. However, that did not deter us from having a good stay. Would recommend.

Lovely spacious apartment with one issue
Lovely spacious studio apartment. Very comfortable. Lacks a few glasses for drinks. Only issue is the smell in the bathroom and taste of the water. We took our own water which we used for drinks etc.

The apartment surpassed our expectations! The beds were really comfortable. The bathroom was the most spacious of any on our trip. And we enjoyed making dinner in the well equipped kitchen. The whole place was very clean and well appointed. We would definitely recommend this find.

This was a huge property—lots of room to spread out. Bring your own water, though—lots of sulfur in the water as if you were bathing in the natural baths. I thought I might have a problem with the self-check in, but another resident solved this by propping a rug in the door. The guesthouse at the bottom of the hill served us late dinner and breakfast, for which we we’re grateful. The town is very pretty but closes after 6.

This was by far the most roomy place we stayed during our visit to Iceland! It was great to have a little extra space to spread out and enjoy the room. There was construction going on somewhere in the building, but they eventually stopped.

Good room but smelly water
Room is smelling like gyser water chemical smell As the hot water smelling like that. Can keep water bottles as complementary which helps. I know we can drink tap water in Iceland, but because of the smell you will afraid of drinking here. Also as room don’t have cooling , u will feel a little humid in summer.

The location of the property was fantastic...overlooking the cute town of Blönduos and the ability to walk right down stairs into town for dinner!!!

Appartement with 2 bedrooms, you could sleep 4 people, easy to find location. Self checking, so you do not meet anyone and you cannot get any information. You can cook. View on the cimetery, so it is very quiet :-) Equipment and decoration is new but cheap. No one big bed, only 4 single beds which is not confortable for a couple.

Great studio apartment. Loved the balcony, dining and lounge areas. Modern kitchen with all cooking facilities. Tea coffee provided as well. Amazing location and views. Sugar and small long life milk packets would have been perfect,

Clean and Functional Studio Apartment for a family
The apartment has everything you need. Need to get the door code from nearby Kiljan Guesthouse. Breakfast is not included. Hot water has a very strong sulfur smell. Shower head shpuld be replaced to prevent water ponding/clogging.Yard needs some improvements.
