Staff were great and would be an asset to another property. I picked up an item I left a week after stay. They were very helpful in that matter. Unfortunately the Amber Inn property is in such bad disrepair I could never stay there again or recommend to others.

The rooms should have room-darkening shades or curtains. Outside our room was a parking lot light that kept our room lit all night. We had only one wash cloth. The bath towels need upgrading, a little rough/course. A section of the baseboard beneath the mirror was missing so one could see quite a way into the neighboring room. I think it's the ice machine that makes noise for a while after someone takes ice from it. The bed was nice; the pillows were a little flat, however. Nice new bedspreads; the carpet looked fairly new, clean. No elevator in the two-story building so I asked for a room on the first floor and it was granted. Room was dark with only one ceiling light at the end of the room, not in the middle of the ceiling; and one desk lamp on the nightstand. Small TV, 32" perhaps? The place needs some constant attention in upgrading the facilities. Overall, we made it work. Probably won't stay there again as there won't be a need.

This hotel was very untrustworthy. From the staff, to the rooms, and the guests. If the shower didn't work, it's was the TV, air conditioning, microwave or refrigerator. They dont even charge the room pricing consistently. If you are not a local you will be overcharged for sure. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! Guests BEWARE! DEFINITELY go to Jerome to stay in a decent hotel. It's only 23 minutes up the road and well worth the drive.

The Inn was an older building. the floors were creaky, and you could hear every foot placement! But that didn't bother me as much as the flood light just outside the window. I would suggest they could probably do with some black out panels behind the curtain, which was light in color, and let in all the light from the flood-light outside, making the room feel like it was daylight all night long. for my 6 night stay, I slept horribly because of that. The bed was comfortable. The room was really clean! The price was right though. I'd stay here again IF the "night light" issue was resolved!

For its price, it was great. Its not super fancy, but they do the best they can with what they've got. I noticed a number of personal homey touches in the decor, so they're not just a cookie cutter of all the typical cheap motels you're used to. One surprisingly positive note is that we requested a smoke-free room, and it ACTUALLY truly smelled free of smoke. And the hallway too. That doesn't usually happen at cheap motels that allow smoking on the premises.

Rooms are clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room is plenty large, TV small, Internet slowish. Hot water is a little bit of a issue when everyone is getting ready at the same time in the morning, it was tolerable, but not as warm as should be. It is fine for a cheap hotel in a super small town to stay a night.
