Beautiful property that has achieved a wonderful balance of maintaining the original character while updating the spaces beautifully. Spectacular pool and spa with the best staff.
Exceptional overall with accommodations and staff. Exceeding expectations for room, breakfast, dinner. Wonderful and very professional staff. Excellent food and views.
We had an incredible stay for our anniversary made even better by all the attention from the wonderful staff. Some how they managed to hire the most friendly and engaging staff members that genuinely love working there.
We will definitely be back! Thank you all at the MO Como for making our stay so special.
My stay at the Mandarin Oriental Lago di Como was fairly flawless. The room was enormous, with an incredible lake view. The staff was kind and attentive. And the property was stunning. I’ll definitely be back.
Look no further the best 5 star property on lake como ( we visited a few)- stunning views, close proximity to local towns, amazing staff. I’m shocked to see any reviews less than 5 star - I consider myself a well travelled guest and this hotel goes above and beyond.
Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay at Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como. The property was without any question beautiful, inviting and welcoming.
I would like to highlight the professionalism of the staff, who were well-informed and made excellent recommendations.
I fell in love with this place. Early in the morning you open your eyes and find yourself in a fabulous place. All your dreams are starting to come true. Time stops and you are immersed in a parallel world. This is one of the best places on our earth. This hotel makes the impossible possible.

Liked: Staff & service
This resort is just average in general and there are many other better options in Lake Como. The rooms and suites are very much different from pictures showed online and it could be misleading. Shower drain constantly has a problem of overflowing water inside our lake view suite but it was later fixed by the engineer. Location of the resort is quite remote and it is very hard to get your own Uber or call for a taxi. However, the casual restaurant with outside seating has great pizzas and pastas and staff members provide great service with warm hospitality.
I don’t normally leave such detailed reviews, but in this case, it’s definitely warranted.
Where do I even begin? The Mandarin Oriental, Lake Como was absolutely incredible and, without question, one of the highlights of our entire trip to Italy!
We were travelling through Italy and booked only two nights at the Mandarin, but if we were planning the trip again, we would definitely stay at least one night longer.
The hotel lived up to its name, which is synonymous with exceptional service, attention to detail, and over the top luxury. As breathtaking as the property is, though, what stood out most was the service and the way the staff made us feel throughout our stay.
From the moment we arrived, everyone was warm, welcoming, and attentive. Even more impressive, the staff members we met during check-in made a point of greeting us personally whenever they saw us again. Those small touches made a lasting impression and are exactly what separates great service from truly exceptional hospitality.
Everything about our stay, from our room and the food to the floating pool and the spa, felt special.
We were genuinely sad when it was time to leave and wished we had booked that extra night. The Mandarin delivered exactly the experience we had hoped for and somehow exceeded it.
If you’re considering staying here, do it! It’s definitely a splurge, but for us, it was worth every penny. Next time we’re in Lake Como, we’ll absolutely be back, and staying longer!
5+++ stars!
