This is such a unique stay. It is tucked way back in a beautiful location - we were so pleased with the solitary nature of the hotel! It is a *bit* fancier than we expected, but we were overall pleased with the space.

Lovely castle hotel set in a beautiful valley between the hills. Decor is very Scottish and quite quirky but looking a bit tired in places that could be fixed quite easily and would make the hotel great instead of very good. A charging point for mobile phones in the room would be welcome and an easy fix. Had a truly enjoyable stay and the staff were excellent.

We love this hotel! It is an older property but I felt it was very well renovated while still keeping the authentic feel. The decor was so cutesy!! The food at this property was one of the worst experiences I have had at a hotel. The food was exceptionally expensive and, to be honest, quite strange. To me, it seemed as if the menu was needlessly fancy. I am all for an adventurous menu but it has to be properly executed. Fish cakes were cold, the chocolate venison dish was served with a melted chocolate on the plate, and the chicken liver pate only contained one texture on the plate. The cooks could cook as all of the breakfast was excellent, but the main meals were honestly entirely dissapointing and horrendously overpriced.
