Place was clean and stayed nice and warm throughout the cold night. In a great location with lots of great views. We did a 6 mile hike about 15 minutes north at Maryland Mountain and then we used the showers and watched the sunset such a beautiful view before heading into town for some gambling!

Idaho Springs and Black Hawk offer a unique location and breathtaking views. It was a great place to visit.. The only minor complaint is the AC unit dripping on the bed.

The views were stunning. We had the mountain view side of the dome, sunrise through sunset were breathtaking. The room was super clean. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Spent my 2nd year anniversary there. The staff were super friendly. We got complimentary drinks for the delay of getting our room setup. Only a 3-5 minute drive to the casinos. Thanks for making my anniversary special!

Last minute impromptu stay due to altitude sickness while camping in Leadvillle. This hidden gem was amazing! The staff was so pleasant and accommodating. The view and ambiance was perfect The only thing that would have made our stay even better would have been an oxygen bar! Definitely telling others about this place!

This fledgling property has lots of potential! If you're booking in the next few months, just be patient... they're working-out the kinks. Rest assured, this place is COOL if you're looking for a unique experience with gorgeous sunrise (and sunset) views from atop a Colorado ridgeline. We'll be back, for sure.

Check in time was at 1600 finally got into Dome at 1915 they had a fire ban which wasn't listed on site so no cooking or fire pit... Ac unit began leaking the first night was right above bed got breakfast for free but they didn't open till 130 at which time we were heading to get something to eat elsewhere... Not enough staff for the units and it was a Wednesday... Trouble setting outside of dome need to take another look at the plastic which impeded the view... 4 out of 10...

Booked a mountain view but get a back view of another room. Called the receptionist (Camila) if we can move to the front room for mountain view. She said NO” without looking for resolution. Great concept but… Need instruction for HVAC (blows directly on bed. Dual out instructions on phone for local calls (dial 1 or dial 9 did not work). TV instructions would’ve been nice as we did not want ti stream our own system. Loft area is NOT little kid friendly. Railing is no taller than mattress and a very scary 10ft drop. Doggy guests need to be in their own isolated area. Any chance of wildlife sighting is shot with dogs scampering everywhere. Awoke to barking dogs in next dome at 4:30 am. Staff had a loose puppy that scared our kids. They apologized once the puppy leash afterthought was implemented. Harmless puppy but who knows, not a 3 & 5 YO. The over $300 for one night should’ve made for a better GLAMPING experience. Coleen Chaney.

We tried to check in at 4:00pm and there was no one in the office to check in. Several young employees were walking back and fourth trying to clean the rooms. This was our 40th Anniversary we were looking forward to this small get away. There was about 6 people also waiting out front to check in. The restaurant was closed also . We finally went to office door and it was unlcoked but no one came out to let us know . There was young man on the phone. We all finally went in and it took almost an hour to let us us know that the rooms were not ready. I understand things happen but then we finally got our room at 6:00pm. We would of understood if someone informed us two hours before what was the hold up and then we could of went somewhere. No communication at all! We then went to have dinner and drinks at the restaurant and there was 4 employees working and not one employee came over. We finally walked out after 20 minutes. There was three employees and one was on his phone and totally ignored my husband when he went up to the bar to order us drinks. The office man gave us two free drinks coupons when we checked in and we never even got to use. We drove down to a casino for dinner at 8:00pm. The room was clean and nice but the communication was horrible and hard to be positive when no one would talk to us. It is a nice place but they need to practice what is promised on the Nest Sight.

Was not able to make it to the location due to ice on roads leading up to the nest. Unfortunately nothing was mentioned when booking the location that you needed snow chains to access the location. Our truck slid backwards on black ice in 4x4 and ended not being able to make it. We called the nest and they said they would be more than willing to refund but to contact Expedia to get it. We contacted Expedia and then they said the Nest is not willing to refund. What a home! What a rip off. I’ll tell everyone I know to stay away from this dump.

My family and I had a great time at the Nest, with a great view, perfect weather. We took food already made just to microwave, since there is a fire ban in CO. Although we did see some people there that had a grill, outside of course and had a BBQ going on. Later a staff member confirmed with us that we were able to take an electric grilled, would of been nice to know before. Other than that honestly highly recommend it is pretty relaxing and staff members are very nice.
