Great location, reasonable rooms, strange flooring (uneven) but overall good stay though got back before the downstairs disco ended and so had to wait till 2:00am for music to finish

On arrival the reception is modern and well furnished and lovely decor, the reception is small and welcoming and the young lady on reception was excellent, we even managed to check in early @ 12 as our rooms were ready…. I cannot fault the checking in process and the receptionist, I didn’t get her name…. We were shown how to get to the rooms and as soon as we went through the door that led to the rooms it was

It is just starting to look a little tired. Something to consider longer term would be air conditioning in guest rooms.

The staff were lovely and friendly, pub itself very nicely decorated and room (we were 117) was large, well equipped and clean. Lighting was poor and bathroom needed a face lift but good shower and amenities. Big downside of the whole experience was that we were directly above a nightclub which played extremely loud music from 10pm - 02.15. Our bed and floor were vibrating it was so loud. The tunes were good but not when you’re trying to sleep!!

Very poor quality bed - can feel all springs. Air with no ventilation options except bathroom window which was overlooked by a crowd outside very tiny fan in room which didn’t help. High noise is no joke - like being in The club in your room especially with window open trying to ventilate the smelly sauna. Breakfasts was extra but nice. wouldn’t stay again.

If you want to sleep during your stay here. I can only wish you Good luck. Music was absolutely thumping throughout the entire night, long passed midnight. My room was rattling and bed shaking due to the noise levels. Even with noise cancelling headphones, I could still hear the music below. I stayed here planning to be up early the next morning yet I couldn’t get a wink of sleep until gone 2pm due to the noise. Completely ruined my trip. I couldn’t recommend this place any less.

The bar / restaurant areas were very nicely refurbished. The rooms are very dated, windows inside the secondary glazing is filthy. Secondary glazing needs cleaning as well. Sink marked and cracked bath also had some damage. Bed is very low to the ground and there was only only a metal square stool to sit on very uncomfortable. Look like it came from a class room in the sixty’s. Bar food was poor( maybe because of the England game but breakfast was excellent. Not sure I would book again until the rooms natch the refurbished bar ares
