Crufts Stay 2020

We found the hotel to be very comfortable. However the bathroom had a couple of small issues. The extractor fan was very noisy whilst on. Also there was no safety mat in the shower/bath which when in use was quite slippery. We raised this matter with reception at the time of our stay.

Great location

The hotel is in a great location with a wonderful lake But the hotel is a little tired rooms decor and furnishings, although comfortable It offers free parking and WiFi and the staff are welcoming and friendly The breakfast is a buffet help yourself which offers plenty of choice

Place needs updating, shower was pathetic! room 47. WiFi in the room was practically non existent, unless you stand by the door! Staff were great, food good.

Exceptional value for money @ £79/room inc breakfast. The only downside was the room was quite cold at night and the spare blanket/quilt was a bit grubby plus the gym equipment was a bit dated.

Lovely location, excellent value.

Amazing value... (although the hotel does needs some TLC), the location was beautiful, breakfast over looking the lake watching the sunrise is not the usual hotel offering. The pool was a good size and there was also a small gym... but with several cardio machines on offer. Very good value for money for all these amenities. The room was a reasonable size and the bed comfy. Only a small gripe on the food offering... it was the same soup every night and no option for a Caesar salad (or any main dish salad) pub grub every evening is too much for me. Would use again.

Short stay.

Perfect for a short stay as we visited friends in nearby villages. Decor a bit dated..but everything else in room and around hotel was good. Lovely view over lake in the morning, we sat near open patio doors in the sun having an excellent breakfast. Good free WiFi and easy parking.

Rowdy groups of golfers

The venue is set in very beautiful surroundings with lovely views of the lake. The staff were very friendly and the service very good. But the evenings were spoilt by loud rowdy groups of golfers and one evening we awoken at 11.30 by a group having discussions in one of their rooms. After they were approached twice the party eventually broke up at 12.30.

The room number 46 can’t access WiFi not ever received phone call or make a phone call which is annoying as nowadays everywhere is easy to use a phone call & internet. However, overall is good and nice location and staff are helpful and friendly.

Great hotel in fabulous location

Brilliant hotel in fantastic location Hotel is dated in the room but boasts restaurant bar swimming pool beauty centre The surrounding grounds are a beautiful huge pool where you can fish hide boats Then the Patshill golf course encircles the hotel I’m not a golfer but my son did enjoy his games and at £12-50 for residents he said great value Only down side my wife and sun both had sickness after eating the food It’s expensive and not good Very oily and greasy But aside from that loved it Local village around one mile away had pubs church convenience store The pigot arms in the village does fantastic food at reasonable price We shall be back fantastic time

Although it's some way from Wolverhampton it had everything I needed, peace, quiet reasonable gym, nice grounds for evening stroll and lovely views to enjoy great breakfast.
