Easy stay, really close to the train station, can still walk to the old town easy enough! Felt really safe and my room was perfect for a solo traveler. Had my own bathroom, a big desk and black out shutters. It was a bit like being in a quiet university hall of residence sort of feel, but nicer! They had a dedicated study/work room downstairs with free coffee machine which was also a win! Would stay again!

Stayed for 1 night. Basic but spacious room. New and modern. Clean bedding and towels provided. Wardrobe with hangers. No tv. Right opposite a tram stop though tram noise wasn't that loud to bother me. Would recommend for a short stay only as it's relatively cheap in comparison to hotels.

Very clean room. As it is a room within a student accommodation, there will be no room services and no showers or shampoos provided. So it is not fair to treat this as a hotel room as it is a room at a student accommodation.

This place is amazingly clean, renovated building and kitchenette in the room. The location is near the main bus terminal in Bilbao which comes in handy for tourists willing to do day trips in the area. During my stay, it was heavy rain in Bilbao and the room got cold. Even though I asked the reception to turn the heating on in my room, that never happened. I assumed the heating was off from the main panel because the room thermostat did not work. Anyways, due to the fact that the room temperature was low, the fire alarm turned on from the rising steam when I took a shower. Besides that, the nearby construction site starts making noise early in the day. It is such a pity because the place is very well maintained and the price is good.

Above my expectations considering the cheap price. This is a student housing but worked well as a hotel, the only minus were lack of toiletries (this was highlighted in the booking information but it is in my opinion an easy thing to add for shorter stays or on request). The hotel is close enough to the centre to walk, but there is also good communication and transportation.

Perfect for a city break.

Perfectly situated to explore the city, Micampus was clean, friendly and quiet. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and I wish my student halls had been as well appointed as my room in Bilbao.

Great room, very clean and had all amenities. Room (with window open) was a bit noisy though and the curtain let through a lot of light, so prepare for that if you are a sensitive sleeper (mask/ earplugs). Would stay again!

Micampus was located next to the Autobus Station - which made it easy to get my early bus to France. It was all new and had cooking facilities, which I would have used if I had a longer stay.

Double charged for my stay

I prepaid for this stay via hotels.com. when I arrived at the Students Residence micampus San Mames, there was no reception, only a computer terminal at the front door. I was able to check in here, but the only way I was able to get entrance to the building was to pay for the reservation again. Hotels.com and Students Residence micampus San Mames have been unwilling to refund one of those two charges to me. I ultimately had to pay over $200CAD for a night here. In terms of the room, it was completely fine. Basic, acceptable. It's the double charge from this property and hotels.com that is causing the poor rating.

It is a very BASIC lodging. There are no utensils, plates, glasses, shampoo, soap or toilet paper (beyond one roll). They said they would come to change towels and clean the floors every 5 days, but they never came and I had to request it TWICE. They don’t take the garbage away, the door to the building gets stuck… it is a mess compared to other student residences I have been to. Do not recommend.

Great stay at great price.

I had a late check-in (23h) and my room key was available for collection at the main desk (unmanned), it was easy and went smoothly, I only had to make a call to get access to the reception entrance. Room was comfortable and clean, all the furniture is brand new. Check-out at 12h was quick and the receptionist was friendly and readily provided me with the receipt. The location is very convenient because it is right next to the Intermodal transportation hub where you can take the bus to the airport for only 3euros. Overall I had a great experience and would definitely stay there again.

Clean and comfy. However we weren't given WiFi instructions, and there was no one Manning the desk over the weekend when we stayed there. On Friday the front desk were ready helpful, I was just busy so didn't ask them about WiFi

The property uses a keyless entry system and they are meant to send you a link before you arrive for the app. I received a number of emails all addressed to the wrong person. I was promised the correct link which never arrived. I arrived at the property after 6 so there is no reception. When someone was eventually contacted they refused to attend but provided the safe combination. There were at least 12 keys in the safe. There were 4 other people with me all of whom couldn't gain access. Atrocious service. Not what anyone wants. Locked out of your property in a country where you don't speak the language with absolutely no help from the company. Couldn't recommend!
