"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "I’ve stayed at Hotel La Tour twice now. The good: Clean, modern, hotel feels premium. The Bad: Staff are rude, unhelpful, amenities in room are limited and not the best e.g shampoo/ Shower gel both labelled as shower gel, kettle had visible limescale. But easily the worst thing is the staff and their attitude. I appreciate they’re probably busy, but it just felt like a chore to try and talk to them. While hotels have various policies around early check-ins, late checkouts I was simply told no for both of these (despite getting in contact in advance for early check-in and morning of checkout for late checkout) very unaccommodating and unhelpful. Overall the hotel is lovely and situated well but I think I’d try somewhere else next time."
