Staff needs improvement
The hotel needs a better staff at reception, room service and restaurants. There is not even a single female staff. How can you run a hotel with all male staff? And the male satff have no training in hospitality. There is also shortages of staff number. Needs better staff and training. The security os also untrained and unprofessional. Overall professional touch of a 5 star is lacking.

Wonderful heritage hotel
We stayed here for 3 nights. The room had a lovely view of the upper Lake. It was very spacious with authentic antique pieces but with all the modcons. Living here was like being transported to a previous era. Rooms and surroundings were very clean. Food was excellent. Would love to stay here again

This is a heritage palace with an interesting history, and is located on a sprawling area with good views of Bhopal lake. It is very quiet compared to other hotels that are more centrally located. The dinner I had here was good. On the other hand, the hotel lacks the attention to detail that is characteristic of high-end properties. Although my room was comfortable, the paint finish was sloppy in places, there was no kleenex tissue in the room (that was not an issue another time I stayed at this hotel on the same trip to Bhopal). The service was obsequious, and not necessarily efficient or effective. There is no elevator in the hotel, and you may have to carry your luggage two floors if you want to do it yourself. Finally, it is not centrally located, and you cannot walk from here to most places of interest.

Another nice stay!
The stay was great and the staff were very nice. One of the staff, Lalit, and some of the others remembered me from my last stay almost a year ago. The location is nice and the food is also pretty solid

Very well appointed heritage property.Amazing views of the lake.Service was courteous and quick. Was earlier managed by ITC Welcomegroup but not anymore.

Perfect palace hotel with a view
Gorgeous old palace converted into a comfortable and well run hotel. Amazingly helpful, friendly and hard working staff. Great food, great rooms, awesome pool, fabulous views, great location. Loved it!

Wonderful hotel in Bhopal
I extended my stay with the hotel after some meetings got shifted into the following week. I upgraded from the standard rooms and it was definitely worth it. The views are simply incredible and the staff is always kind.

A wonderful location to enjoy Bhopal from
The hotel definitely stands out because of the ambiance and location. It’s position on the edge of the city on a bluff removes guests from the hectic crowds of Old Bhopal and offers a nice picturesque view of the lake. During the breakfast, one can enjoy a nice breeze over a nice cup of tea or coffee. The staff are nice in general and do their best. They can be flexible in terms of room placements. The rooms can be on the less comfortable side given the price, but that’s more the nature of the hotel being a heritage hotel. I forgot to mention the pool area is a under construction slightly, so that can be an eye sore! Looking forward to going again.

Noor us Sabah: An insight into the Nawabi Era
What a marvellous architecture and ambience!! Located at the top of the hill, it overlooks the Bada Talaab and provides you uninterrupted view of the lake. The hotel is far away from the hustle bustle of the city and is an idealistic location to relax and introspect. Would love to come back here again and again.

When History and Luxury Meet
My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for three nights as we were attending a wedding in Bhopal. It was a beautiful location with a well preserved sense of history. Our room was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. We were lucky enough to have been upgraded to a room with a view of the beautiful lake.

Reception staff was not cooperative. Wifi facility not up the mark, having difficulty in getting my air ticket. Then I have to tell somebody to get it for me from outside. The hotel is located at a prime place overlooking the Bhopal Lake. Airport is within 1/2 hour distance.

Great views and luxurious room.
What a wonderful hotel! The view from my balcony was spectacular and the room was the height of luxury and very clean and spacious. The staff were extremely courteous and polite. I will definitely stay there again when I visit India.

Lovely hotel with a breathtaking lake view
Everything about our stay was wonderful. The breakfast buffet focused more on quality and less on quantity, which was just fine, and we enjoyed the Chinese restaurant for dinner as well. The swimming pool was enormous and looked out over the city and lake. All of the hotel staff were helpful and extremely courteous. The cost was a little bit of a splurge for us, but the quality was fantastic and it felt like a luxury hotel. The historical aspect of the buildings was nicely emphasized while, at the same time, everything was in outstanding repair.

A great hotel!!!
The hotel was previously the residence of a member of the local royal family, and built in the the 1930''s in Muslim style. They ahve done an excellent job of restoring and maintaining it. It sits up on a hill with a great view of the lake. The entire staff is very professional and provides excellent service to the guests. The hotel has three eating establishments. One is ala cart outdoors overlooking the lake. Another is buffet indoors and the third is a Tha/Chinese/Japaneese. We tried all three and the food was consistently great. i would highly recommend this hotel for mature travelers looking for a unique experience.

Very clean and comfortable
Went to Bhopal for a wedding. The hotel was very good. Whilst a bit tired, everything was very clean and the rooms very comfortable. Food was excellent and i found to be very reasonable. The chinese was especially good. Staff were very helpful, and the views wever excellent. Care - this hotel does not serve alcohol.
