「The room was very big and spacious. It was very clean and came with en suite too. There was a back door to the car parking area, which was a nice touch to load/unload your cases. The bar was nice with seating areas for food in the evening, just like a restaurant. The food was exceptional in the evening and at breakfast. The service was too. Staff were very friendly and courteous. We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it.」

「Right next to the A1, but you wouldn't know it. Welcoming, lovely staff, good food. Lots of walkers and cyclists, good atmosphere, comfortable room, sensibly priced and conveniently located in this special part of the world. Go to Lindisfarne, go to Scotland, explore Berwick and Northumberland - this is the place to do it from!」

「There was no staff on site. I may have misplaced instructions that were sent to me, but I was not prepared for such a deserted arrival. It worked out in the end and it was a convenient place from which to visit surrounding areas of interest.」

「Overall a very good value place to stay, and as long as you know the place’s limits in advance you can plan round them. A bit on the basic side (no desk in the room, no towels, no dedicated wifi (something cloudy that didn’t work on 4th floor, so I tethered iPad to phone). toilet and shower a bit “military grade” but the price point was exceptional. 「We had a Premier Plus room so nice & spacious. Clean room with good amenities including WiFi. Friendly & helpful staff. Onsite restaurant & bar was good especially happy hour deals. Good location in the centre of the historic. Easy free parking close by. 」

「Some of the positive reviews are likely from week-days. NEVER go here in the weekend. Your room is above the hotel's pub that makes your stay unbearable. It is not just people having a drink, but actively partying and shouting with a dj. This place should not be listed as a hotel.
Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. 」
