The hotel was beautiful, staff attentive and helpful. The location is excellent. We walked and took the metro system which was convenient. Close to parks for small hikes.
The staff were extremely helpful with any directions, their knowledge of the area and transport was exemplary. The hotel was very clean and perfect for a base for us to explore Berlin.
Currently, still, going through renovations which impacts beverage and dining. I have stayed here over 20 times over the years, and I love the location and value. Rooms are recently redone.
We stayed in King Grand, spacious enough to stay with the kid. The breakfast area can be crowded during the weekends but the staff and the restaurant manager navigates it very well. Location is great.
Leisure area was closed for refurbishment but didn’t inform me before travelling, only noticed on website. I had to ask for compensation and given free breakfast.
Some drilling building noise during the day and dust sheets used. Hopefully all this will be completed before long - check.
Breakfast is good with plenty of choice but nothing you wouldn’t expect from a reasonable hotel.
Rooms were ok but again nothing special.
The hotel is a short walk from the tube station, 5/10 mins and the area around is fairly typical of a big city, litter, graffiti, roadworks. Easy journey on train from airport about 50 minutes and only £6 euros for zones ABC ticket.
Best things to do is book Reichstag viewing area online before you go as will avoid any queue, it’s free and worthwhile. The cathedral is about 15 euros and the climb to the roof viewing area is worth the effort. Also the museum Island is is good.
On the whole in the Uk the hotel would be a 4 star, so if you can get for about £120 a night it would be ok.
Excellent Italian across the road ‘Inizio’ a bit pricey but food was excellent.
We had a great stay at the Bristol Berlin. Our King Grand room was spacious, beautiful, bright and very quiet. The bed was large and extremely comfortable. The lift was right in front of our room, making it particularly easy to get to the pool.
We loved the pool. It was the perfect temperature and a decent size. All the facilities were very clean. We didn’t manage to use the sauna this time, but will definitely do so on our next visit.
Breakfast was very good, with a large choice of both sweet and savoury options. All staff were very friendly.
The hotel’s location is excellent, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Public transport is also excellent, making it very easy to get around Berlin.
We particularly enjoyed biang biang noodles at Wen Cheng a short walk away and would recommend the Ottenthal (Austrian) nearby and Chen Che Teehaus (Vietnamese) in Mitte.
Great location, easy access to subway lines and a taxi stop right in front of hotel. The property has character, good conveniences. A covered swimming pool is a plus, together with the sauna area which is in need of urgent refurbishment. Bathroom amenities could be better - just an all in one body/shampoo/conditioner product is never the best option for hair and skin, in my opinion... It is a big hotel, but you get a good feeling. Breakfast is good but a little confusing in peak hours. I would stay there again depending on a cost-benefit analysis.
