Close to famous Beirut boardwalk
I had my reservation one month in advance with Expedia at lahoya homes furnished apartment in Beirut (for one week) and prepaid in full.
When I got to the hotel I was surprised to be told that my reservation was canceled and I was transferred to another Lahoya (Lahoya gardens). They told me that they informed Expedia about the cancellation?
The gentleman at the reception was nice and help me with my bags and took me in his own car to the new hotel (Lahoya gardens) which was few blocks away.
Of course I was not happy with this at all especially that I payed a lot of money for my stay and I was aware of that the new hotel is cheaper and less luxurious than Lahoya homes as reflected in the price (Lahoya gardens is 25-30% cheaper than Lahoya homes).
I’m not sure who to blame, Expedia or Lahoya homes? On my next trip to Beirut this summer , I believe it will be wise to avoid both.

The location is great. Very convenient & central. The apartment is spacious & clean. My biggest problem is the last night the air conditioner iced & started leaking (raining) from the bathroom ceiling. A service guy came promptly & offered to move me. I decided to be given a late checkout since leaving was not practical. He brought a mop and extra towels to dry the floor. I spent 2-3 hrs cleaning until stopped leaking & the unit kicked back & cooled. At checkout they charged me $2.50 per capsule x 8 & senior management didn't wave it.
I think coffee should be provided as first day but at least waved after the misery of the night. The staff are the sweetest & nicest & most helpful people you want. The place is very nice, clean, spacious. Make sure you have your Expedia reservation at hand. It was helpful since when I came to check in they didn't have me on the list. I explained that I had done the reservation over 2 months ago. Again they immediately took my Expedia info & called & got me the one bedroom apt. I had reserved.
