"I called the night before my arrival and was told that I would have to walk from the bus station to the hotel. It was not easy as uphill and I had two bags. When i arrived ( rather hot amd bothered), the receptionists said I should have called them to pick me up! Once checked in, I called reception three times and room service (there is no mini bar) and no k e picked up. I was told the phone system was not working (although they did get it operating). "Conveniently located directly across from the train station. Beautiful traditional hotel with a wonderful staff. Some of the amenities were closed during our stay for refurbishing but otherwise we loved it. The beds were good, breakfast was ok but not quite as good as we've had elsewhere in the region. Best of all are the mountain views and the Lauterbrunnen valley below! The views are stunning. We could have sat our on our balcony all day. It's also right in town (Wengen) and close to everything. We would stay there again if we ever return."
