Let us state this from the outset: We do not tread lightly when it comes to the quality of establishments we review. And the Château Tanesse Tourny earns its accolades in what can only be described as a harmonious marriage of history and modernity.
A Journey Back in Time
We embarked on our trip the way Marco Polo might have had he been armed, in our case we did it with a Ford Mustang Mach E, from Sixt, instead of ancient maps and sextants. Our electric chariot transported us and another couple into the lap of history—an ethereal 13th-century château that has passed through the hands of British proprietors and was once the heart of social soirees hosted by the Marquis de Tourny.
