The perfect B&B!

This is an awesome B&B. The room was perfect, comfortable and roomy, with a nice deck and great view of the cathedral. The breakfast was amazing with good company and food and wonderful service. Easy and inexpensive parking, as well as convenient walking to sights, food, restaurants and entertainment make this the perfect location in Bayeux and the city is a perfect location for access to the best Normandy sights.

This property has old world charm and is located in a convenient spot that is walkable to museums, restaurants, and other places of interest. The staff was friendly and the daily breakfast included was a welcome amenity. Bed was very comfortable. Check in is late at 5 pm. Bathroom needs updating and no a/c though the fan provided was adequate most evenings. Parking is an extra charge. All in all a pleasant place to stay!

the character of the house was great. other guests very quiet and respectful. the AMAZING breakfast included in my stay and the very friendly staff who were patient with my not-great French. the location very close to town centre, safe and convenient.

The property is very quaint! The hostesses were very friendly and super accommodating! We were on the third floor so be warned that it s flights of stairs as there is no elevator. We did love the place and would definitely return.

The host was excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was super- a big selection with homemade options. The orange juice was freshly squeezed. The room was nice and clean. The bed was a king size. The room was cool and you could open the balcony doors. The only downside was the late check in time - 5pm. We were only staying 1 night, so it felt like we just slept and left. Parking on site was limited, but there are public options nearby.

We received the warmest of welcomes from Severine. She was most helpful answering all our questions about Bayeux and recommending where to eat. Breakfast was plentiful. The location of the villa is excellent. All sights in Bayeux are within easy walking distance. We parked our car at the villa for 5€ but there is a free public car park just behind the villa. Our room was on the second floor and was clean and well-appointed. We thoroughly recommend the Castel Guesthouse.

Charming Place

What a charming place. The owners/staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in a top floor room with a great view of the cathedral and the light show. the very kind young man carried out suitcase up the flights of stairs sonhe could help me with mobility issues. please note: NO LIFT The bed was lovely and comfortable. We had breakfast sitting outside. All in all a very lovely stay for our last night of 2 weeks driving your of France, last stop was the War Graves before heading to the Eurotunnel. Would highly recommend.

This place ultra-convenient. You can walk to the train station and most of the best attractions Bayeux has to offer, like the Tapestry Museum and the Cathedral of our Lady of Bayeux. It is clean and comfortable and we were given a room on the highest floor with a great panoramic view. The staff is also super-friendly. The only word of caution I would give you is that it is not staffed around the clock. We got there late and had to call a number to be get access. Other than that, I would highly recommend it.

This was a perfect place to visit the Normandy region. Very walkable location. Clean, comfortable, well equipped rooms and kind, helpful hosts. The breakfast is well worth it. We were full until dinner.

The property was a bed and breakfast and the room and place were very nice. Walkable to restaurants, museums and train station. All very good. What was not so good was check in and check out. On their website they indicate you can make arrangements if you can't make the 5-8 PM check-in. We contacted them via email months in advance and they said email them the day before and we could make luggage drop off arrangements. We did that and they said that was not possible. We were arriving at 1 PM and what were we suppose to do, drag our luggage around for 4 hours until check in. Their suggestion was to leave our luggage outside the building where anyone could just take it, a definite non starter for us. I was finally able to talk to someone on the morning of our arrival to their property and they said they would give us a code to enter the property. What they should have done the day before when we asked for the early drop off of our luggage. Check out was a bit better, however although the website says you can check out at 11 am, they wanted us out by 10:30 at the latest. And no you cannot leave your luggage in the B&B. So if you don't mind living by rules regarding check in and check out that can change on the drop of a dime, this is your place.

This is a cute historic house that has been remodeled as a boutique hotel. Our room was small, but adequate. Everything was neat and clean. I want to mention that it does not have air conditioning or access to a refrigerator. The week before we came the weather had been quite warm and it might have been uncomfortable. However, the week we were there the weather was very comfortable. It is conveniently located close to many restaurants and the important tourist attractions.
