I was in El Campo for a wedding. Since the Lone Star Inn was recommended by the venue as a comfortable place to stay, I booked a room. I was very pleased with my stay. The room was clean, with plenty of fresh towels, the grounds were well maintained, the staff I enteracted with were friendly and helpful.

The owners are very friendly. They make sure the customers are comfortable they get exactly what they need. The housekeepers are very nice and if you need anything you just ask them they bring it to your room. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The towels are nice and clean and fresh. There are benches outside with barbecue grills that we enjoy when we're there. When we are in El Campo, the Lone Star is our home.

The property is quiet and fairly centrally located. The room was clean. The pillows are half the length of a standard pillow. Just ask for more and they’ll give them to you. I had a handicapped room that was very spacious and accommodating. The beds are really hard. Like, really hard. The office chair was broken and unsafe to sit in. The chair in the room blocks the closet and was a pain to move every time I needed in the closet. The cost was proportional to the quality.

For what I would consider a budget hotel, it exceeded my expectations. It was clean the breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly. We had no issues here and have no problem staying here again if needed. The only negative I could add would be the smell of cleaning product. If you could find a scentless product it would be great.
