Very convenient to many eatery, shops, massage mall. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Stayed at Room 102. (1) Toilet floor mat is very stained (2) The kettle lid was damaged (3) Room entrance floor tile is very slipping Is our concern on the overall hotel hygiene and cleanliness. Hotel lobby renovation on going, not sure when is ending.

A nice short getaway

Stayed at new wing of Batam City Hotel. Walking distance to most of the eateries I wanted to go to. Most importantly, it is just next to the massage parlour I enjoyed going to. BCS is just aright across the road after passing thru' a short lane. Of course if you are looking for a resort and beach experience, this is not the place.

Staff made mistake and put blame on guest

Indonesian friend brought friend and i to hotel check in, asked to wait n then i showed her online reservation details... I repeated request for 2 beds n late check out if possible. She then gave us room key, went to room but key card not working, had to call staff up n saw that room had a queen n a single bed. Did not think too much about it. Next morning received call in room that we were given wrong room n staff insisted we asked for 2 double beds as we had 3 people and that soecific room number n wanted to forfeit my deposit. I argued that they did not leave note in room when we were out to resolve issue after we came back as they said they tried calling room but no answer. After my argument that staff saw reservation details n yet accused me of asking for double beds n room number, manager told me then she will get staff to pay but that next time it will be charged. This accusation and attitudes of hotel front desk staff is totally unacceptable n left a very bad impression that even my indonesian friend said she will ask friends to not stay in this hotel as initially she thought we had a very nice room... Restaurant staff are friendly but definitely not the front desk staff as even as i checked out, the lady manager told me that next time the deposit will be forfeited if it happens again.... This is really bad bad staff attitude!!!!!

Everything was good except for the water temperature for shower, the water can get very hot and very cold suddenly, so pls dont not put the shower near your body, test before you shower.

I have traveled to many countries and stayed at many hotels this is by far the worst hotel that i have ever stayed. And the service was horrendous. Lesson learned

2 days 1 night weekend stay in Batam

A short stay in this hotel for the weekend. The hotel provides free ferry pick-up to the hotel only. The driver is punctual and friendly. The check-in service is fast. The room is pretty good and clean but some amenities are missing -> bath, shampoo, bedroom slippers. We have to request from the reception. The bed is pretty comfy and the hotel is near the mall and lots of food court/shop houses. There is a wet market near the hotel too. Overall, a comfortable stay and I will visit this hotel again.

A Short Stay

The hotel looked new but I was given a Junior Suite where the air-con was not cold at all. They promptly changed another room for us. The room and toilet were clean. The shower was great, one normal size and another giant one over your head. The pillows were not great, very hard and high. We had to use the sofa cushions instead. The breakfast was ok. There were more food than what we would expect from a budget hotel. The hotel was near to BCS Mall and a few massage parlours and 20 min from Batam Ferry Terminal.

Hotel is abt 5mins walk from BCS mall and there are shops selling food nearby. However the condition of the rooms are not very good..abit smelly and dirty. Service of the staff was good though.. Not recommended for fussy traveller but ok for short stay
