It felt like a hotel - but without the service. The weather was rainy and dreary; without any sun, the unit was a bit dark. (It’s on the “old” side with updates.). Because it was chilly, the gas fireplace was a bonus. Very quiet. Off season, so not many people around. Terrific view out the bedroom windows but, unless you spend a lot of time in the bedrooms, it’s wasted. Nothing but a gravel parking lot to see from the living room space. For a family of 4 or more, it’s probably a bargain; for just one or two people, I’d try elsewhere another time around. The staff in the check-in office were very friendly and helpful, the exact opposite of the person I spoke with in the property management office, who was entirely rude and impertinent and less than helpful when I asked for the check-in procedures (that the VRBO support service had no information on and referred me to the property manager). It would be such a simple addition to the listing - but I guess they’d rather annoy the Creekside Village guests on the front end. FYI: There's nowhere to walk safely/easily; you have to drive elsewhere for trails and terrain to explore. I never did find the public access to Lake Laurel that evidently has a walking path around it, after driving miles on the backroads the person in the office suggested - which apparently was the only nearby alternative. So … rent this property with low expectations and then it might satisfy you.
