"The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Vic was so nice and made sure I had anything I needed for my overnight. Conviently located next to the Happy Garden restaurant (Chinese/thai fusion) that was great! Also right across from the harbor for easy access to boating."

"I have stayed at the Skylark whenever I visit Lakeport. The rooms are always clean, beds pretty comfortable and the is staff friendlyand helpful. My only complaint would be the pillows are a bit flat for my liking."

"I arrived a little after 9:00 PM to check in, but the front office was closed. Both the sliding door and the side entrance were locked, the office was dark, and no staff were present. Because I couldn’t access the office or complete check-in, I had to find another hotel for the night. "

The room was dark, and I was still able to see that it had been a long time since someone dusted or looked at the top of the curtains. The cobwebs appeared to have been there for a very long time. "

We couldn’t get a reservation at Blue Wings Saloon nearby for Valentine’s Day, and the owner / manager made it happen for us - which was a welcome treat after a long day of travel. "As noted in other reviews, this facility is well-located, nicely maintained and clean. Bed was comfortable and everything worked. BUT- I had among the worst check-in experiences ever. Arriving at 9:30p after a long day, the door and night window were locked. I repeatedly called the two posted numbers and rang the night bell, waiting in the cold for over 10 minutes. When the groggy (?) clerk finally arrived, he was apparently unable to login to the reservation system to check me in. He finally gave up, and said he’d give me a room key, and the transaction would be taken care of in the morning. Of course, the room key didn’t work, and after a further delay, he was able to get me into a room on the second floor - nearly 30 minutes after I arrived. And unsurprisingly, the office was locked and unattended the next morning. Definitely not recommended."
