Room was clean and bed was comfortable. William at front desk was super helpful and flexible with us. We left our bags at his desk after check out since our flight was late at night and we could explore Barcelona without our heavy bags.

Great location!
Location of B&B is great. Unfortunately we stayed only one night:(. Hotel staff was great at accommodating us in leaving our bags for a couple of nights while we traveled to Valencia. The only room that was available was quite large for us and for what we paid, it was quite worn out even though it was spacious.

A wonderful visit to Barcelona
I absolutely loved it. All of the amenities and extras I could have asked for. Gorgeous place and a massive terrace that was empty during my trip (in early October). I am very glad someone was there when I checked in - otherwise, the multiple emails and electronic keys to check in would have been confusing and overwhelming. That aside, it was a perfect stay. I hope I’m lucky enough to visit again!

Stylish accommodation right in the heart of Barcelona. Easy access to the Metro network and with a Hola pass all parts of the city were easily doable. Ca La was great - an excellent space to be in when back from excursions. Very comfortable, very hospitable and would go back there again in a heartbeat.

Sadly, I did not stay. The communication lacked being service minded. I could not cancel, nor ask for a refund due to the hotel stipulations. I did not need a room after all. So I thought I would stay one night anyways. At $1000 for 2 nights, it was disappointing to not have a little extra above and beyond. I asked for hotel transport, as it is listed as an amenity and an early check in. Or offer a refund...

What a beautiful spot with wonderful staff and easy walking. The only suggestion, we. stayed in the word facing the street and it was very noisy. I would suggest another location in the building

Love the uniqueness of this bed and breakfast. Large rooms, amazing breakfast, private balcony that you can enjoy the breakfast on, an honest bar system where you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer at any cost, the kindest staff. Can’t run out of nice things to say. Would definitely stay here again. It was my boyfriend’s favorite stay after traveling to 3 countries and 6 hotels on this trip

Great stay, very comfortable and quite spacious space. The common terrace area was a bonus that we did not expect. Overall a very pleasant stay. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a spacious room in the heart of Barcelona. The bed was very comfortable after a long plane ride. This location was perfect for us and in close walking distance to all the main sights we were looking to visit during our short time in Barcelona. We were not staying in the main building of the hotel, so we were a little bit confused about check out and breakfast details, but once we sorted that out the staff was very helpful.

Fantastic B&B in the heart of the city!
Lovely B&B close to metro station and major attractions. Lots of restaurants, bars and supermarkets nearby. Very polite and helpful front desk staff. Well maintained rooms, hallway and terrace. Great breakfast. Highly recommended.

The owner of the hotel is very nice and helpful. So was Lily, one of the employees. They both assisted us with many aspects of our stay in Barcelona. However, Vanessa, an employee, was very unpleasant to deal with. She did not smile once or speak to us politely at all. She was very condescending and made it clear that she did not like us and did not want to assist us in any way. We did not look forward to talking to her after we checked into the hotel, but remained polite. When we checked out, the owner graciously allowed us to keep our bags in the hotel so we would not have to carry them all day. When we came back for our bags and asked Vanessa for them, she handed the bags without saying one word. Not even a “thank you for staying with us.” If not for Vanessa, I would rate the hotel more highly. As for the hotel, it is very quaint and cozy and you can tell effort went into decorating it. I would be careful with the standard rooms that we accidentally picked, as they are very small. We were able to switch rooms the second day to a “superior double room” which was much more comfortable.

Wonderful!! Immaculate, gorgeous, great breakfast and excellent location. 2 blocks from red bus, metro and main streets. But that is not all. We lost our phone, and with it our reservations and other trip details. Lili could not have been more helpful. I think, if she could have, she would have flown back to Rome to look for our phone herself!! From her to Maria(owner) and the housekeeper (sorry, I forgot her name) you could not feel more welcome. Thanks again for everything. Can't wait to see you all again.

Was not able to stay at this property even though I had a confirmed booking through Orbitz two weeks prior to check in date because hotel was overbooked. Awful communication between hotel and Orbitz. Had to find different accommodations the last minute. Will never book through Orbitz or to this hotel again because of this experience.

The property has a very friendly, homey vibe, its as if you're staying with friends. We loved everything about it and can't wait to come back. We had a couple of issues with our room which we shared with staff and they promptly upgraded us to another room at no cost and gave us a delicious bottle of wine. The owner Maria is such a gracious host and nothing is too much trouble for her guests. And, that woman can bake! Breakfast was a treat every single day. The location of the property is also perfect, close to all main attractions and the metro. We absolutely loved Barcelona and this will be our go to hotel.

The staff was really helpful showing us how to get around and it’s the perfect place because the train is close by and so are the buses . Not too far from the mall, aquarium & zoo.

Ca la Maria is a beautiful property. The staff are multi lingual, knowledable and very communicative. They set up my transportation to and from the airport. They were prepared with suggestions on what to see in Barcelona. The breakfast was very good. I enjoyed my stay.

Nice hotel but room was very small
Very very friendly staff and nice area. The common areas are very lovely, especially the living room and the terrace. I have to say that I was disappointed by the room comfort and size : not very big, quite narrow, low ceiling, and a very obstructed view.

My first and favorite place in Barcelona
Do you know how the first time you stay at a hotel in a new city you are nervous because you never know if you've chosen a good hotel in the right area? Well, I was so pleased with Ca La Maria and it's great location that I know where I will stay in Barcelona every future visit. The staff was extremely warm and welcoming. The continental breakfast is awesome and never gets repetitive. The anenities are unique and room/building security is good. As I said, location is great. It is easy walking distance to all the major attractions and plenty of restaurants and shopping. I will certainly be staying at Ca La Maria again the next time I am in Barcelona.

I stayed at Ca la Maria with two of my friends during a girls weekend and it was wonderful! The staff was amazing answering our questions prior to our arrival. We had an early tour and they left us a breakfast for us. They helped us understand the best way to get around and recommended sights and restaurants. The room was huge and had a ton of character. The location was also perfect. They have a beautiful terrace where we could sit and enjoy outdoors. We were in the heart of Barcelona. Vanessa was at the front desk and just lovely. We would stay there again.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are thoughtfully decorated and the service is great. The terrace is lovely for relaxing in the sun, and the breakfast spread was delicious, with lots of organic homemade products and a coffee machine available to use 24/7. Overall fantastic stay, would highly recommend.

Enjoyed my stay, spacious and elegantly decorated room (Suite Deluxe). The rooms are in the building next to the check-in reception area, where the fabulous interior courtyard terrace and breakfast room are located. Rates include breakfast, this is pleasant. Overall good value for money. The reception is not 24/7 and hence check-in needs to be done before 4pm which is a constraint to take into account when booking.
