「Great place for people of all ages. Several accommodation options. Rental of a golf cart to get around the resort was a plus. Many activities throughout the resort. Many good quality restaurants are available within a short drive. We really enjoyed wine tasting at Barboursville Winery in Barboursville, Va. Beautiful winery with knowledgeable staff. We are definitely looking forward to returning to Shenandoah Crossings in the near future. 」

「This is a charming bed and breakfast. Anmenities are high end, so is the service. We stayed in a room circa 1752. The bedding however was more recent and very luxurious. The grounds are impeccable, with flowers and trimmed hedges everywhere. There are fields and even a little nature trail in the woods on the property. 「Lovely historic property. Sofas need updating as well as some chairs. Bed was very comfortable and linens were excellent. Shower was excellent. Bathroom needs new seat and small table would help beside sink. Overall we would love to return in the fall.」

「THIS is a guilty pleasure. Love the location and isolation of this property. They have a couple dining options and great room service. Most importantly, they’re pet friendly and my “boys”, Louie and Logan are treated like rock stars. Great walking grounds, and the rooms are fabulous where you just want to stay in and relax. 」

「Beautifully renovated historic home that welcomes you from the moment you drive in. The property is vast and the immediate grounds are very well maintained with many activities to interest all-pool, hiking trails, and croquet. The public spaces androoms are well put together while maintaining their historic integrity. Grab a crab cocktail at the in-house bar and have dinner in any of the well appointed dining spaces. A great place to stay before/after a visit to Monticello.」
