"The Baraga Inn was a decent place to stay. The property inside definitely needs some work. There was a lot of peeling wallpaper and the stairwells looked as if there was possibly water damage, or just poor workmanship. Our room was large (king size bed) but the pillows were the worst I've ever had in a hotel. Very small and lumpy. I would wish for more outdoor seating at the water. The best aspect was the restaurant attached to the hotel. This was very convenient, the food was good, and the wait staff were exceptional. The location is good for traveling up the Keweenaw Peninsula, it's about an hour and a half from Copper Harbor, and maybe a half hour to Houghton and Hancock. The pool and sauna area were clean. Overall, the hotel just needs some basic maintenance."

"Staff was friendly, lots of parking, easy location to find and exit, however.. the room smelled terrible and smelled even after leaving the window open for several hours. Room appeared very clean but the smell would not go away."
