We really enjoyed our stay at the Bluenose and it was very reasonably priced given the time of year we visited (late August during a weekend). Pros: - Very clean, comfortable rooms - Thoughtful touches in the rooms (vanity kits, lots of towels, bathrobes) - Beautiful and convenient location, only about 3 minutes to downtown Bar Harbor - Very nice pool and hot tub - Incredible gift shop right in the lobby—lots of books, toys, souvenirs, snacks, etc. to choose from - Live music on Saturday night was wonderful Areas for improvement: - Rooms still use actual metal keys; this was sort of eclectic in a way but at the same time was not super convenient

The property is older but still outstanding. They have real room keys! Our family loved staying there and the view was incredible. It was really lovely sitting on the balcony while our son fell asleep in the room. Downtown Bar Harbor is a short walk away and you can get the bus back to the hotel quite easily.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Bluenose Inn! The location is beautiful, perched right up on the hill along the main road as you drive into Bar Harbor. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Our room was extremely clean, remarkably spacious, and featured a wonderful deck with magnificent views. The amenities made our visit extra special: we thoroughly enjoyed the bar lounge with live piano music in the evenings, and breakfast at the Looking Glass restaurant offered delicious food alongside truly amazing views. With convenient on-site parking and easy access to downtown Bar Harbor, it made exploring the area seamless. Highly recommended for a comfortable and memorable Bar Harbor getaway!

We liked that the property had the basics right- clean rooms, comfortable beds etc. We enjoyed the piano sessions in the evening in the common area. While you can’t just step out and be in downtown, it’s within reasonable walking distance if weather is good. One annoyance was that we always needed to carry a physical key with us instead of card or app.

Beautiful place especially for older couples. Clean, close to downtown. Rooms are spacious and soundproof. AC slightly loud but working well. Evenings you can spent over nice wine or cocktail and listen to a piano music. Great idea! Love it👍
