We stayed in a very nice suite in the back of the property that had 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. It was just what we were looking for. The walk to Main Street took only a few minutes so driving was unnecessary. The drive to Acadia was quick and easy. Great accommodations and location.

Bar Harbor Gem

Our 3 night stay was simply amazing. The property is gorgeous, the room was so clean and cozy, whirlpool was wonderful and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Best breakfasts I’ve ever had at a b&b. The owners were so delightful and accommodating. So close to everything but tucked away from the hustle and bustle. We will always stay here when we travel to Bar Harbor. Cant wait to return!

The staff was incredibly friendly. The location was for convenient to downtown restaurants, and close to a hiking trail. I wish I had done more research on the particular room we stayed in. I thought we were staying in the main house, which I liked the aesthetic of more. The Rocklynn is basic in comparison. But that's my own fault for not doin the research.

This is an historic Inn. The building is well look after. But service is terrible. The check in start at 3 pm and close at 5pm. I went before 3pm and nobody answered the door. They were there they just don’t want to open. I couldn’t go back before 5pm. I found an envelope with a card an instructions how to open the door of the Inn and room. You have to make an appointment for breakfast, the afternoon before. If you go to the park and come late you will have to make the appointment for 9am pr later. Earliest breakfast start at 8am and it is always booked. They offer a to go breakfast, very bad quality. I have no service to my room even if we left at 6 am and come back at 4pm. You might think that an historic Inn will be more focus on service, no actual service at all. It was like an AB &B in an old historic house.

We had never stayed at an Inn so this was a new experience for us. It was quiet and the history of the house was interesting. The owners were kind and the kitchen staff were attentive. The room and bathroom were on the small side, but everything was clean. In the dining room there are small refrigerators and a microwave to store any food you might want to put in there, but you have to label it and date it so it can be thrown out if it is in there too long. There are no refrigerators. microwaves, or coffee makers in the rooms but all guests had access to these in the dining room. Guests sign up for a breakfast time slot and choose from two options for breakfast. There was not a lot of interaction between guests with how tables were set up, but it was fine as everyone went about their day after breakfast. It was a bit of a walk to downtown, but walking is preferable to driving because it is hard to find parking anywhere and it is expensive. We enjoyed our stay even though it was exactly what we expected.

The bedroom was huge and spacious, had a nice sitting area. The shower had two shower heads and was very nice. The kitchen did the job for what we needed, we just used the xiffe machine and fridge. But had dishes and a nice electric stove top for if we needed more food prepared. We'd love to visit again during the busy season and try their food, we heard good things about it from a friend that recommended the hotel to us. The location was great placement near the national park and we were walking distance to all of downtown Bar harbor.
