Nothing special about the property, It's a typical lodge. My disappointment falls in the the false advertising with the property and Expedia. They showed (have since taken it down) a very inviting outdoor pool, which was the second photo in the rolodex of pictures. At $600/night, as most properties were when I was booking, that pool was the deciding factor in my booking. When I got to the property and settled in, I went to see where the pool was... well the front desk wasn't surprised to find me looking for it, as lots of customers do, except its not on the property, its a "spring" located somewhere else. Also theres no AC, so put the fan on and slept with the window open, only to be woken up all night by the trains blasting their horns as the went by, 1-2 (small) blocks away. Then there was refrigeration Semi trucks parked behind us in the morning after a bad nights sleep, constantly running as they need to keep the food cold. Another thing as well, the Gondola. We booked through our hotel the last night we were there to go up the Gondola for Dinner. We were told theres restaurants up there that serve, until the mountain shut down, as we were one of the last groups up... however, they failed to mention that 2 of the 3 restaurants were closed for a private event, and the only other one had shut down by the time we were ready to eat... $200 for the two of us to go up there, specifically for a dinner at the top of the mountain... Banff however is beautiful. But I had to share
