"I was with my family , just in july 2025 , for my opinion this is the best hotel with the best view in manuel Antonio area, has 360 view , and if you rent the room in the main building , is amazing !!! next the hotel have to many shooping and restaurants that you can walk , is so practice , also the service and tha atention is great, tha staff is so professional. "Makanda by the Sea exceeded our expectations in every way. Our suite was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered breathtaking views—pure luxury and comfort. We loved the boutique hotel atmosphere: intimate, stylish, and thoughtfully curated. The welcome treat was a lovely touch, setting the tone for a relaxing stay. The infinity pool and poolside bar were highlights—perfect spots to unwind while soaking in the stunning jungle-meets-ocean scenery. Although golf carts were available for transportation around the property, we didn’t use them, as we enjoyed exploring on foot. A truly magical part of the experience was the connection to wildlife—hearing and spotting monkeys right on the grounds added such a special, natural charm. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a romantic and luxurious retreat immersed in nature."

"Great value for family of four! We had two rooms for two adults and two teens. Location was great - two minute walk to Manuel Antonio park, convenience store, souvenir shops. Hotel restaurant - the breakfast that was included was fantastic. We ended up eating dinner there one night and it was good too. Staff - quick responses via WhatsApp. Very helpful. Beach - seven minute walk. Beautiful views ocean view from our rooms and from the restaurant. We saw two different types of monkeys from our room and from the restaurant. Rooms - not the nicest, could use some updates, but the they were clean, cool, and the beds were comfortable. "

"Wonderful experience, great staff. We planned some on our own and some they helped out with. The property is pretty vast, including multiple restaurants, pools, and hotel areas, all in the hills above the beach. We saw monkeys, iguanas, butterflies, parrots, etc on property which the kids loved. It was recommended to us and we’d absolutely pass on the recommendation. "
