Very nice welcome. Lovely comfortable room, lovely and clean. Everything you need is on the room. Good bar and good tasty food.

Nice staff. Beautiful old building and food was pleasant however only continental breakfast is included ( told when you get there) . This is misleading both on the part of Expedia and The George. We are in the UK and breakfast included should mean English Breakfast. The continental breakfast was not very continental or sophisticated at all - hugely disappointing- processed jam in sachets, coco pops or cornflakes and toast - that’s it ! Not very continental at all. They wanted an additional £12 per person for a full English breakfast but it wasn’t served until 9.30am !!!! The room itself was tatty - I’ll fitting curtains, no headboard on the bad and mixer tap for shower fell off in my hand. I would certainly not stay again

Fabulous!

Lovely welcome, extremely helpful and courteous throughout our stay. Food superb, staff friendly and so helpful, they couldn’t do enough to help. Very clean And comfy room , we will definitely come again, and I really want to sleep in the 4 poster room! Fingers crossed same weekend next year(if not before!) Recommend as a first class accomadation. Certainly derserves more than 3 star! My kind of place, individual, a welcome break from bland boring hotel where everything is the same as everywhere else. Long live The George!

The George Inn Lower Brailes

Very disappointing the house keeping of the room was very poor hot tap in the shower room was lose you had to hold the entire tap to turn in off when it was very hot cobwebs in the room a block holding one side of the bed up and when the people above showered water dripping down into our room all was reported to the hotel when we left.When we booked it said breakfast was included no mention it was only continental which was very poor full English was £12per head more which would of made our stay nearly £100 for the night and it was definitely not worth that.

Set in a beautiful little village with beautiful surroundings. I saw a lot of reviews on here about the church bells,yes they do chime but how lovely to keep with a tradition thats been going on for centuries. Very friendly and accomodating staff. The room was comfortable and the food served at the pub was delicious. Nice spot to do some of the walks around the area

Staff were friendly and helpful, the place did look as though it could do with some TLC three adults to share one room, nowhere at all to put clothes, just some hooks under the tea tray , bed base was dirty as was the toilet, the wood on the window was rotted, just needed a good makeover, the rooms on website looked nice, clearly this wasn’t our room, little disappointed.

Very quirky, beautiful and traditional hotel, we had a lovely time here! The food was delicious! Rooms are very large and bathroom was clean. Only issue was the church bells which were very loud at 12am (sounded like they were doing bell practice) but after that you wouldn’t notice them if you were asleep. We would definitely stay here again!

excellent 5 night stay in fabulous accommodation

Excellent stay, excellent service, beautiful old inn. The food was delicious and plentiful. Very pleasant staff. The room was clean but a little too small for multi nights stay as there was little space to hang and store clothes for several nights stay, not even a chest of drawers but this this is only a minor criticism as the overall enjoyment of our stay far outweighed this.

It was a pleasant stay,it was very basic but adequate for our needs.breakfast selection was very poor on the first morning,but after complaining,things improved on the second morning.
