Disappointing Stay – Not As Advertised
I usually like to give places a fair chance, but my stay here was truly disappointing. When I arrived, the room was dirty—there was a pile of dirt behind the door, and the carpet in both the room and hallway looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed. The furniture was dusty, the mattress was completely worn out with a deep sinkhole in the middle, and the ceiling was peeling.
The bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned. There were stains in the shower, and while it looked like someone attempted to clean it, they clearly missed spots. The towels were thin, torn, and had holes. The curtains looked old and outdated, which added to the overall neglected feel of the room.
One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was the pool, which is still listed as an amenity. Unfortunately, the pool looked like it hadn’t been used in years—completely closed and unmaintained. It’s the middle of summer, and I specifically chose this place to have somewhere to cool off, so that was a big letdown.
I chose this hotel for the mid-range price (thinking it would at least be clean), and the advertised amenities. Sadly, it didn’t live up to any of those expectations. They really need to stop advertising the pool if it’s not functional, and overall, the place needs serious maintenance and attention. The safety latch on door was broken and my imagination is going crazy thinking about what to it.
