5/5 - Excellent
Cute town along the wild Atlantic Way.
While Newtown isn't home to many top sights, Aillwee Cave and Fanore Beach are some notable places to visit nearby.

Cute town along the wild Atlantic Way.
Loved this quiet town. Great people and pubs.
A true taste of Ireland.
Similar to Connemara without as many tourists. Scenery is often breathtaking!
I was disappointed. Not because it wasn’t beautiful but because it didn’t have a relaxed feel to the place. It was too far to go into a town and go to pubs or anything. They had VERY limited menus for dinner and what they had was very expensive.
Excellent countryside town. Eat at Wild Atlantic lodge or Monks and you'll be happy.
