I used to stay here every month when traveling frequently to Taipei before Covid, and it was once a great hotel. Unfortunately, the lack of maintenance has become quite noticeable. The elevator looks dated, the rooms show dents and stains, and even small details like the tissue box feel neglected. There used to be a small TV by the bathtub, but it has been removed, leaving only the wall controls behind. The lobby now features two self-check-in machines, but they are not very user-friendly. Instead of using my name or passport number, I had to enter a long booking number. After two failed attempts, I still had to wait for the counter staff to complete the check-in manually after making a phone call. That said, the hotel still has its strengths. The rooms are spacious—two people with large suitcases can move around comfortably, which is rare in newer Taipei hotels, especially in convenient areas. The location is excellent, right at Zhongxiao Dunhua station with direct escalator access. Within five minutes, you’ll find a 24-hour Watsons, plenty of restaurants, and several convenience stores. Essentially, everything you need is within easy walking distance.
