Friendly staff but for some reason my reservation was not recorded. Pool needed to he drained and refilled. It timed out nicely when I wanted to swim. Sleepy relaxing hotel. Location was easy to get a tricycle. Generally facility could use refinish to look nicer but overall nice place.
The stay was excellent, however, it did not specify during the booking that we have to pay an additional fee of PHP 1,000 per day for the private bathroom/ breakfast
Walking distance to baler plaza. Have to keep aircon on to keep room cool. Room CR needs fixing as floor is water comes from plumbing. Bed covers need replacement. Nice considerate staff. Breakfast meal is not worth 150. Will stay again but will bfast elsewhere.
I booked this hotel for our family trip to Baler consisting of 8 adult and 4 children. I booked triple room and barkada room. Since i booked few days before our trip and mostly the brachfront hotels are full i opted for this hotel. It is NOT beachfront although is it located near the poblacion area. Considering it was fairly new, most of the hotel’s area are worn off. Swimming pool is VERY DIRTY and the water is already discolored. It seems they did not change the water for a very long time, maybe months?? We went in the hotel around 1:45pm (check in time 2pm) and was surprised that the room given to us was JUNIOR BARKADA ROOM (2 twin double decks) instead of BARKADA ROOM (3 twin double decks). I showed them proof, an email confirmation from hotels.com that it should be Barkada room but the lady at the reception said they already gave Barkada room to another group and it was HOTEL.COM’s fault. Imagine squeezing 5 adults and 2 children in that room? And to think that the receptionist said there is no other room available because our supposed room was already given to another group. Surprisingly during breakfast, they gave us short of 3 meals because they based it in the room capacity. I had to go to reception and showed them that in the first place it was the hotel’s fault that we were given the smaller room and i showed them emails of the pax i paid for. That’s the only time they gave the other 2 meals. I will NEVER stay here again!
We did not get our breakfast because we are not on the list but on the booking says complementary breakfast! so we decided to have it outside the hotel and when we got back receptionist is asked us if we have breakfast!!!offering us to take breakfast that they prepare its too late after they said that were not on the list!so embarassing in front of my son and daughter
The place is not difficult to find since it is located in the town proper and its near to different well known restaurants in Baler. Superb service and the staff is more than accommodating. However, the only problem is the cleanliness of the pool. When my family decided to take a quick dip in their pool we have noticed that its kinda slippery. We saw that the tiles is covered with moss and there were few sand granules.
CR is slippery, pool is dirty (dark green in color with a lot of sand). I asked them to clean the pool but what really shocked me is when they said "its clean maam" clean? when you can really see dirt, algae and sand.
breakfast is ok (hotdog and egg) staffs are not so friendly, furniture starting to look old and worn out, water from the faucet smells like rust. their water dispenser have molds (where the cold water comes out) good thing AC is working well and pillows are good.
we booked two rooms for a family of 8. to my surprise the rooms are very far from each other.
they said no cooking but some guest have induction cooker with them and no one bothered to call them out when they were cooking in the common area.
the inn needs a lot of improvement. it was good in pictures but once you're there, you'll be disappointed. book somewhere else if you want swimming pool.
Its dirty everywhere and the staff does nothing about it.

Extended Family vacation @ Baler
- Room is spacious and clean
- Location is easy to find and I think is quite safe
- Bath shower has low water pressure
- toilet bowl flush is hard to press
- difficult connecting to wifi, you need to go near the lobby to have a good connection
-
When we arrived, the swimming is dirty full of green molds, they have to empty the pool to clean
The wifi signal only available at reception area.
Theres to toilet roll in the bathroom.
Room was not cleaned, Swimming pool full of green algae, then the staff tried to clean by mop, no chlorine, a full day without electricity as the town electric supply was down and the hotel did not run generators even though available
No comment on so called breakfast, cold ball of rice, some spicy over grilled sausage, one fried egg, no toast, no butter nor marmalade, nor coffee or salt and pepper or any other spices
but all the staff friendly doing nothing hanging around all day, doing nothing
No WiFi as advertised, No TV except one station not as advertised
as for the beach its not the black sand its the dirt and the sewage water which is directly discharged into the sea, bon appetit
we traveled to the far end, by our own car, to North and South
all in all not worth to visit Baler at all, why we went their in the first place, because we paid a technical visit to the Rice Institute which was very helpful in confirming what we already new, thus we are on the correct track with our farm, a diverted, rice, animal, vegetable, fruit farming with help of all the mechanical equipment we were able to purchase, thus happy farming - never ever Baler
