"Good place to stay for a few nights reasonably priced. Really helpful communicative host. I would recommend going up to the lake as it's close. Decent bed and quiet in the area."
"Could not be more convenient to downtown Calafate. Spa was the best of my trip through South America - with a gloriously operating and hot jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. "
"This is a good place to stay. Clean and nice, big cabins in a cozy property.
Pros: Helpful staff, well equipped rooms and cereal & toasts breakfast.
Cons: No 24hrs front desk and no convinces stores walking distance.
Acceptable beds in a cabin well equipped, the hotel has a restaurant, the only walkable option, but the zone has great restaurants if you go by car. "
"Small hotel with excellent service. Only a short walk to main street with shops and restaurants. The restaurant at Los Canelos was fine and convenient."
"Apartment style room had everything needed for our short stay in El Calafate. Restaurant on site if needed. Grocery or downtown area only about a 15min walk.
Lunch boxes are available if needed for an excursion or you could buy them from the travel agencies.
We enjoyed our stay"

Mirador del Lago Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay at Mirador del Lago. The hotel is beautiful, and our room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with one king-size bed and two twin beds. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of delicious options. If we return to El Calafate, we’ll definitely choose Mirador del Lago again."
"We enjoyed the cabin setup. There was plenty of space for two of us but also an extra bed in the living room and two in the loft would make it a great place for a family. The kitchen was well equipped, and the property is a few minutes walk from the strip of restaurants and stores in downtown Calafate. Breakfast was pretty good, including fruits and breads, ham/cheese, and scrambled eggs (the eggs were the only hot cooked option)."
"It’s winter. It’s cold. We had the easiest self check-in and opened the door to a thoughtfully pre-warmed place.
Cannot recommend this spot highly enough. Immaculately clean, self-check-in/out, washing machine, well stocked kitchen (including a French press and coffee!), warm, very comfortable bed and bedding, hot water + great water pressure in the shower. I think we maybe met the owner and she was so incredibly sweet. Beautiful human. The woman on-site any days folks checked out to clean was also an absolute gem. We had 40 minutes until our shuttle came after checkout time and it was freezing out that morning. She graciously let us stay in our warm apartment until the shuttle came! Any questions you might have are quickly attended to over What’s App and they send you a very helpful PDF about everything you might need around town or to get to glaciers or El Chaltén. We stayed a week and were very sad to leave this cozy spot. About a 10 min. walk over a footbridge to el centro which is our ideal. Just a wonderful stay and apartment!"
"Great staff, easy walk to downtown. It’s at the end of the Main Street, so it is quieter with easy access to the highway that takes you to the glacier. "
