"Okay walking distance from the train station, but check-in was terrible. I didn’t receive any details until standing outside on a rainy day trying to figure out how to call a local phone number, which was eventually answered by someone who only speaks Chinese. After an awkward minute on the phone they hung up, but a few minutes later I finally got instructions on how to get inside.

"I simply loved it! So many amenities come with the room, centrally located across the way from the Miao Kou might market. Great local breakfast places open quite early. Room was clean well stocked and most importantly in June well air conditioned. I got it so cold in there I needed a long sleeve. If you're traveling alone in Keelung I can't recommend it enough! "

Exceptionally clean, pretty affordable, and an ideal location all make Evergreen Laurel an excellent choice. Very nice breakfast buffet, too. "Property owners were absolutely amazing, professional, knowledgeable and approachable. The place was clean and light with Scandinavian style design. They have multiple configuration rooms available, some equipped with window and the attached bathroom. It’s normally booked out a week to two weeks in advance. On Saturday it’s often booked out three weeks ahead. I will definitely return again when I’m in the area.
