We really like the location of the hotel and parking. It was o. A quiet street within walking distance to all of Avignon’s sites, shops and restaurants within the city walls. Room was very good, clean and comfortable. Shower faucet needed work but was not a major problem.

Comfortable centre ville hotel; limited parking but we managed to get there in time for 2 days. very friendly people indeed and short walk only to bars and restaurants

The hotel has secure space for your bicycles, and the breakfast had plenty of options. It was easy check in and there is a room with a tea kettle and selection of teas available off the lobby. Our room was a bit dreary but worked for us. It might be a close night for a couple, with the full sized bed.

The hotel is very traditional in style with friendly staff. I personally would have preferred a walk-in shower but that would be my only negative. I’m a solo female traveller & really liked that it was quite near to the train station & in a pleasant part of the city. Everything was walkable.

Delightful staff in this modest hotel. Clean and comfortable room, good linen and towels. Somewhat dated decor and facilities but everything worked well and we were well looked after. Nice to have terrace sitting area and indoor siting room with well stocked books shelves. Quiet street. Very convenient for day trips around Avignon and area by public transport.

My stay at Hotel d’Angleterre exceeded expectations. I am on a backpack and train journey. The hotel is walkable to the Central Train station and main bus stop. Check in was simple and convenient. The staff was friendly and helped my understand how to use the hotel. I signed up for the breakfast buffet. There were ample portions of all offerings, and the baked goods were better than usual. Avignon is easy to walk around from the Hotel. As a bonus, there is an elevator which was nice after a long day of trains and walking.

Such a nice hotel.

Such a nice hotel. The front desk and breakfast staff were all marvelous and so helpful. Great location close to train and bus station. Very quiet street. Easy to walk everywhere. I loved the restaurant suggestions that the front desk gave me. Definitely will be back.

This is an older property, so the price probably reflects this. Soundproofing not great, so if you like to sleep in, ask for a room away from the lift. Reception is really helpful and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is good. The street is quiet and safe. Only a ten min walk to the station and about the same for town centre.

I spent just one night, nothing bad to report. I appreciate the free tea and (self) coffee service and the free parking for my motorbike. The staff are very available and helpful. All of them are (also) english speaker.

Good enough for a night or two.

Very helpful service from Phillipe at reception. Well located for train and city walks. Comfortable downstairs lounge with trans and coffee. Shower plumbing needs attention - squirting water at joint - and shower lethally slippery. Concave double bed mattress. Clean enough. Fine for two nights. Pictures of garden courtyard a bit misleading.
