It is a very typically French in it's decor and style. The hosts were gracious, helpful and very knowledgeable. Their English was excellent. The breakfasts offered many choices and I especially appreciated the amazing baked goods! The location is perfect. In the town center area but far enough away to be very quiet. I would recommend the Garland to travelers going to Lyon.,

It’s was a great location for walking but it’s pedestrian only so you have to walk a bit with luggage. Also no elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. We were on the third floor so a bit of a work out. If you want cute and small this is perfect. We would stay again for sure.

The hotel is an ancient stone building with all the charm you could ask for. The staff were engaged in being helpful. No lift, so stairs to climb with luggage. Breakfast was entirely satisfactory. Excellent location in the heart of Avignon.

First, let me say, Clement was very friendly and very helpful during our first two days. We checked out this morning at 11am and was greeted by a female front desk clerk. We asked to leave our luggage while we went out for breakfast, came back within the hour when I realized I left my 1 carat diamond stud earrings on the tray in our room. My husband and I went back to speak with the female front desk clerk, we searched the room, and she stated she followed up with the housekeeper and no one claimed to see my 1 carat stud earrings. We searched the disposed vacuum bag as well as the towels, however no trace of my earrings. The earrings were left on the black/white speckled tray that holds the water glasses - they should have still been there. The housekeepers only wipe the trays and there was no way my 1 carat diamond stud earrings could have been overlooked. The front desk clerk continued to defend the housekeeper saying she has been with them for 15 years and she knows she didn’t take my earrings. There’s no other explanation except they were beautiful and the housekeeper did not turn them in. My husband purchased those for my 28th anniversary so needless to say they were very special and I am so very disappointed and feel at a loss, I feel robbed. This was my first trip to Avignon - our 1st international trip as emptynesters - an unfortunate experience that could have been solved if the housekeeper had been honest about finding my earrings and turned them in.

Nice location

This was a very nice location, conveniently located close to restaurants and Palace of the Popes. The breakfast that Emmanuel provided was deciduous. Our room was quite tiny as well the bathroom. But it was tolerable for a few nights.

Absolute gem in the heart of the town

Charming hotel right in the centre of Avignon, so perfect for exploring the town. The hosts are very welcoming and full of tips and advice for places to visit, where to eat etc. Breakfast is well worth it.
