On hotels.com side - Wasn’t entirely clear which room I’d booked on check in - pictures that had made me select my stay didn’t quite match what I was given sizewise, but staff were able to help and room was lovely. Beds super comfortable, and plenty of shops and eateries near by, with an easy enough walk into town

Great location. Same outfit as Ascotia, but higher standard of room. Staff were all friendly. Breakfast was $20/morning which seems quite reasonable. My preference is to stay here when I visit Auckland.

Good central location near University, close to Pier and downtown, is walkable (10-15 minutes), bus stops are also nearby. Was clean and front desk was always staffed. We stayed during off season, so noise was not an issue, but if the street had lots of noise, it might be an issue for some
