Great location, great price. The front desk was very understanding of a last minute cancellation and allowed me to reschedule a non-refundable room to the following week. It’s not a 5 star resort, but if you are looking for a reasonably priced room in the heart of OC, this is a great option.

I love that the Sifting Sands is so close to the beach and that the rates are very reasonable. The heated pool is a definite plus. The rooms are a little dated but I can live with that. The one disappointment is the comfort of the beds and chairs. They are due to be replaced.

Sifting Sands exceeded all of my expectations and was one of the highlights of our trip. The room was spacious, cutely decorated, clean, and the kitchenette was perfect. The location could not be more ideal, especially with how reasonably priced our stay was. It’s so nice to have a “home base” so close to the boardwalk and beach. This is our new go to spot for future trips!

The property was very close to the beach, which was great for a senior citizen two blocks away. The beach was beautiful. The hotel was nice. The room was a little small, but it was nice for a few days. I would definitely go back again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Sifting Sands and was pleasantly surprised that it fit out needs so well. The hotel is not updated but it did have great amenities and in a great location. Being in OCNJ we did not spend much time there so it was basically only to sleep. My only negative comment was that there was a lot of mold in the bathroom shower. Overall, a good stay.

This is our second year staying at the Sifting Sands. This year we opted for a larger room - a King bed with a pull out couch. Our room was ready early and we were so grateful! There is just two of us but the king room gave us ample space and a sitting area for meals inside the room. The bed was so comfortable, it was a great mattress . The tv was small but worked for our needs. You have a decent size fridge, along with a stove top and microwave. The bathroom was clean and shower gave us great water pressure and hot water. They provided more than enough towels and toiletries. The parking lot is small but thats not a slight on the motel itself, You need to watch out for some other guests who like to park over the lines to prevent people parking close to them. The pool is very well maintained and was a great refreshing temperature for the weather. The location is so convenient, everything is walkable and accessible.

The room appliances were old. The bathroom fixtures were cracked the shower was very small and dirty. The entire room was small. There was a sofa in the room that had a sheet over it. I stayed there should have complained but I didn't. Would love a refund, but I did use the room.
