It was crowded and noisy. The place reeked of smoke, possibly marijuana smoke. My daughter’s allergies were affected. There were stains in the carpet. The renovated rooms were sold out. The parking was expensive, it went from $25 on Friday night to $40 on Saturday night. Why should guests pay for parking? My stay was memorable but not in a positive way.

Upon arrival the smell outside the property and inside smelled of smoke and pot! Inside the lobby area was chaotic and incredibly loud. The entire hotel smelled of smoke and pot. The 15th floor even had the smell. We were given the first room and it was disgusting- dry wall all over the place, dust everywhere, mirror off wall and on bed. Black marks all over sheet. Back down to lobby to request new room. Next one don’t have dry wall issues or morrow on wall but definitely sleeve. No mattress cover, no fitted sheet, mattress had to be from the 70s. Satins on the floor. We promptly went down stairs and requested a refund. Mainly due to the fact that the smoke smells and nasty odors around the hotel sent my 15 year old daughter into an asthma attack. But the other factors would have made for a miserable stay for a volleyball tournament.

Always love the showboat. I've been coming there for seven years now.. glad for the water park. But seems to make things a little crazy. Parking ramp was packed, people driving the wrong way. Taking up two or three spots. Seen a few more security guards then normal.. had a few fights. ( Not the hotels fault) Had a beautiful view for my balcony.
