「The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!」

「Overall we found the rooms to be very clean, the bed was quite comfortable and the staff was very nice and accommodating. Sound deadening/insulation was not the best in that we could hear other guests conversation/activity from the room above as well as the room next door. Railroad noise was noted although it was less prevalent during the weekend. Electrical outlet in bathroom sink area was hard to find at first and difficult to access as it was underneath the vanity. 「Hotel was good. Very quiet - probably wasn’t full, but I heard zero noise - no doors, elevators, hall noises, etc., so that was nice. Wasn’t impressed with the area of the hotel, but it was significantly cheaper than the more down town options. Still quick and easy to campus. Plus, Andy’s Frozen Custard is right next door, if you want a snack!」

「Definitely it the cleanest of places I’ve stayed. As always with traveling my intent was not to be holed up on a room the entire time… so the bed was fine and the tv and mini fridge worked. Water pressure and hot water was good and I guess that was all I needed. 」
