Location was perfect-right next to metro station. Breakfast was delicious with numerous options to choose from. The hotel is suitable for a short city stay and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. They happily refilled the water and coffee in our room daily when asked. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was regularly replenished. One large negative is the location. The surrounding streets are dodgy but the hotel is immediately above the metro station and the hop-on-hop-off bus stop. Despite being walkable from Monastiraki Sq and other prime tourist locations, I would highly recommend using transport rather than walking around the side streets, especially at night, or with children or if you are travelling alone. The room was comfortable and spacious, particularly for a city hotel. The bathroom was compact but, if the door was closed, it would acquire the smell of drains. The gym is fairly small, with some equipment very close to each other - I had to synchronise my use of one machine with another visitor so we avoided knocking into each other - but it's fine if you are the only one in there. We ate in the pool bar for convenience before heading to the airport on our final day and sadly the food was disappointing, you can definitely eat much nicer food for less elsewhere.

Frühstück umfangreich und aus dem 9.OG mit einer tollen Aussicht. U-Bahn direkt vor der Tür. Einziger Wermutstropfen, die Inneneinheit der zusätzlichen Klimaanlage war durch ihr quietschendes Geräusch nachts nicht zu ertragen. Und es gab keine Tür zum Badezimmer, nur zur Toilette. Wenn man nachts zu dieser musste und das Licht eingeschaltet, waren alle anderen wach!

My wife, son and I booked the junior suite both prior to and after a cruise that left from the port of Athens. We stayed in room 900 which is a newly renovated room located on the top floor of the hotel adjacent to the infinity pool. The Stanley is a newly renovated historic hotel located in central Athens. There is a subway station as well as hop on hop off tourist bus directly outside. Easy cheap access to tourist spots, airport, port. This is the only Junior suite in the hotel, and its location offers views of the Parthenon in the distance as well as sweeping views of the city. The room has been newly renovated and is tiled throughout with plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed and pullout sofa. There is a narrow balcony with glass railings as well as a large private patio area accessed through a sliding door. The bathroom is very large and well-appointed with a large glassed-in shower. We were impressed by the welcome bottle of wine on ice and fruit tray as well as the free stocked mini bar. The room included a full hot breakfast which is served in the roof top restaurant. The breakfast buffet was amazing and included Greek specialties, North American foods and specialty coffees. The restaurant has plenty of seating as well as a great balcony. From 4-7 there is a "happy hour" for suite guests in the mezzanine lounge that includes beer and wine and light snacks. Was a great way to wind down from the day! The staff throughout were amazing- Great stay!

I have stayed at Stanley several times since 2023. This is the first time I leave a negative review for the hotel because it's not the same good value hotel anymore.I was waiting 10 min to check in because the front desk person (Kostas) was telling jokes in German with another couple. They didn't offer any upgrade because there was no other room available even with VIP access. Across the street the Wyndham offer points for loyal travelers and it is much better value hotel.

The breakfast was the best we have ever had! The staff is incredible. Our only issue was that our Executive Lounge card had to be reset every day to access the lounge which was a little annoying. Also, there is no full body mirror and no plug in the bathroom for hair tools. Other than that, it was great! Also, water bottles are 3$ each. We had to ask maintenance for AC help and the room was still pretty hot, it only went down to 18 degrees Celsius.

Super Auswahl beim Frühstück. Der Pool war sauber und schön gestaltet, für Ende März war es aber leider etwas zu windig um ihn zu benutzen.

Fresh breakfast every morning, staff were lovely and happy to help, and the metro is right outside. I wouldn’t walk around at night or two and from attractions in the day, lots of substance misuse and prostitution.

Great staff but don't expect a 4/5 star experience. Room amenities were basic but acceptable. Great location, 4 metro stops to the Acropolis, lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.
