Friendly and caring staff. The location of the hotel was fine however it too close to the church which every 30 minutes you will hear the church bell and not able to sleep well.

We found our room to be dusty, as if it hadn’t been checked in months. There was no extra toilet paper in the room, the tv was very small. Our balcony was dirty from lack of use. Since we had a reservation for weeks I would expect to stay in a room that had been tidied even if it was cleaned weeks or months ago. Breakfast was a complete disappointment, Luke warm coffee and stale bread, I had expressed mobility issue, but still needed to climb a flight of stairs to use the elevator and a flight of stairs for the rooftop breakfast.mattress was very comfortable, excellent location, but i wouldn’t stay again.

I booked this hotel because of its location and the poster picture of the Acropolis view from the roof top. Mistake! The room is small and crammed. There’s no accommodation such as water or coffee maker. There’s not even enough toilet paper. Honestly, I don’t recommend this hotel if you want a pleasant experience. The owner could easily provide some shampoo or hair conditioner. Too minimal.

Clean bright room. Tiny balcony with uncomfortable chair. Tiny bathroom. Lots of stairs to room or an ancient lift that worked ok. Staff friendly. Kettle provided on request. Good standard for 2 star hotel. Good value for city centre. Very noisy though. Hard to sleep. Street noise and cathedral bells ringing every 30 mins. Black out curtains too small so room is light all night from street lights etc. Would recommend if noise at night is not an issue for you.

The hotel is located in the middle of Plaka. You are close to everything. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. We would have breakfast there for 8 euros per person. Not bad at all. It may not be a fancy hotel but it’s definitely the best if you are having a short stay and are in a budget.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay here after our cruise. We stayed in the panoramic view room which has a nice wrap around patio with a great view of the acropolis. Staff were friendly and helpful and lifted our bags up to the elevator for us which is a few stairs up from reception area. Tons of shopping and restaurants nearby.

Although the room was clean, the decor and furnishing were quite outdated. There was no kettle in the room and the hairdryer didn’t work properly. But the location was amazing and the staff were really nice.

Very good location. This is a small, 84 years old building, family-run hotel and the staff are amazing. We arrived very early in the morning and asked of they could store our luggage. Not only did they help with that, but they also allowed us to check in early since our room hadn't been occupied the night before-without extra charge. When we checked out the next morning, the owner asked if we had visited the rooftop, which we hadn't. He encouraged us to go up and see it, and the view was breathtaking. I would love to come back if I have the chance.

We recently stayed at the Hotel Metropolis prior to taking a cruise and are very happy with this property. From its location in Plaka near the Acropolis and other points of interest including a multitude of shopping and dining choices as well as proximity to public transportation, this hotel delivers. Having arrived at night, the next morning greeted us with a stunning view of the Acropolis from our room. As well, this hotel has an amazing rooftop terrace with still even better views of the Acropolis. For these reasons alone the Hotel Metropolis is a top choice for your next stay in Athens. However, it is the staff and management that sealed it for us. We encountered unexpected difficulties when our cruise was cancelled. An early return home was not feasible as it was prohibitively expensive to rebook our flight. Instead, we decided to make the best of it and see even more of Athens. Hotel Metropolis staff and management were very accommodating by allowing us to extend our stay. As the date of our return flight was approaching, we were advised by our airline that it too was cancelled. Not only did Hotel Metropolis again accommodate us for a couple extra days, but they provided us with a room with a large wrap-around balcony. The compassion and kindness shown to us by the staff and management were truly appreciated. And this is the most important reason our next stay in Athens will be with Hotel Metropolis.

アテネにはトータル8泊、いろいろなタイプのホテル(2星～5星まで)に宿泊しましたが、このホテルの一番素敵な所はルーフトップです。ルーフトップからはメトロポリス大聖堂とアクロポリスがとても綺麗に見れます。フロントは狭いですが、親切なスタッフさんが24時間いてくれるので、とても安心です。プラカ地区のど真ん中なので、ロケーションと便利さは申し分なく、治安も良いです。2星ホテルなのでアメニティはボディーソープ・シャンプー程度で、お茶や水などありませんが、便利で安全な場所で費用を抑えたいなら最高のホテルだと思います。
