Location Location Location
Amazingly located at the heart of Ermou and outstanding views of the Acropolis. The staff are very helpful and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The room was quite unique and the bed was extremely comfortable and spacious.

Don't stay here unless you enjoy loud street music
Bring earplugs. There are mediocre street musicians outside playing very loud drums until late at night. There is no soundproofing of the rooms.

Good property. Excellent location for walking! Ridiculous over amplified noise from street huskers is unbearable and makes sleeping difficult!!

Stay here if you visit Venice! It is outside the busy touristy area, but it's all very accessible by walking. It is on a charming church square full of local families and good restaurants. The hotel is a renovated space, is spacious for Europe, has a beautiful internal courtyard, roomy rooms and a hip lobby with blown glass jellyfish over a large aquarium. Staff was fantastic, breakfast was over the top in large 2-story rooms with blown glass chandeliers, artwork and high quality food. Can't say enough about it!

Local is great, at the heart of shopping and sight seeing. Noise from the street at night is a problem if you go to sleep before midnight.

Maria was the from desk person and was very gracious and helpful. An incredible room. It seemed that we were upgraded to a corner suite, nice. The style was ultra contemporary the room had a rounded wall of glass and a round bed centered in the area. Yes, a round bed, very cool. There was a sitting area with a very modern couch and chair upholstered in red suede. There is a view of the Acropolis from the sitting room. The bath had a triangular glass shower with a mirror built into the back. The Ermou has a roof-top restaurant where the included breakfast is served. Greek pastries, cheeses, fruit, eggs and bacon. Of course it has a view of the Acropolis and is open by reservation for dinner and cocktails. There is a small L shaped bar that seems to be frequented by regulars speaking Greek. I've never seen a bartender carefully place small ice cubes one-by-one into rocks drink, very special. You will not find a better location. On the main shopping street (pedestrian), steps away from the Agora, countless cafes, the Hop on Stop & Monstritaki train. Wonderful bedding and quiet room close to the street action. Try the Ydria Restaurant..amazing. All of this for less than the price of the Courtyard in most cites!

The hotel was in a fabulous location and it was a lovely hotel and the staff were so friendly and helpful but the roof top terrace they advertise is not part of the hotel and you can’t just go up there to take a photo or look at the view or just sit there. The staff were quite rude. It is now a restaurant so you have to buy a meal or drink.

Room was incredible with a beautiful view of the acropolis. Front desk staff was very helpful. They helped me coordinate an airport shuttle and have me great advice about the local area.

Utopia is clean and straightforward and the sfaff is nice! However, there is no reception area, place to sit. The balcony displayed in pictures is ONLY for breakfast. Other than that it is a completely separate business, a restaurant that you must make a reservation for. So as far as the hotel goes, it is basically just your room. I would have been completely satisfied with my stay here, except the internet was not functioning in the days I was there. Because of this, I was charged $50 by my cellular company. Also, the TV wasn’t working (maybe it relies on internet). So no entertainment after a long day of sightseeing or ability to access my own entertainment on my ipad. Especially a kicker when you are traveling alone.

For a city vacation in Athens is the Utopia Ermou hard to beat. Friendly helpful staff, very clean modern rooms with air conditioning, centrally located with a rooftop terrace that was a highlight mornings and evenings!

Decent but not great!
The accomodations were good and the view at the restaurant at the rooftop were amazing but the restaurant service for dinner and the food was dissappointing. Very expensive for the small portions.
