Maria was the from desk person and was very gracious and helpful. An incredible room. It seemed that we were upgraded to a corner suite, nice. The style was ultra contemporary the room had a rounded wall of glass and a round bed centered in the area. Yes, a round bed, very cool. There was a sitting area with a very modern couch and chair upholstered in red suede. There is a view of the Acropolis from the sitting room. The bath had a triangular glass shower with a mirror built into the back. The Ermou has a roof-top restaurant where the included breakfast is served. Greek pastries, cheeses, fruit, eggs and bacon. Of course it has a view of the Acropolis and is open by reservation for dinner and cocktails. There is a small L shaped bar that seems to be frequented by regulars speaking Greek.
I've never seen a bartender carefully place small ice cubes one-by-one into rocks drink, very special.
You will not find a better location. On the main shopping street (pedestrian), steps away from the Agora, countless cafes, the Hop on Stop & Monstritaki train.
Wonderful bedding and quiet room close to the street action.
Try the Ydria Restaurant..amazing.
All of this for less than the price of the Courtyard in most cites!
